🎙️🔴🔵 COACHES’ CORNER | THE MORNING AFTER
After yesterday’s brilliant 6–2 win over Billingham Town Development, it’s time to hear the thoughts from the coaching team. 👇⚽
💭 THOUGHTS ON THE GAME
➕ Positives
A big one has got to be the goals! ⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽
It’s not every Saturday you turn up and put six goals away, and those goals could prove important later in the season when goal difference comes into play.
But probably the most pleasing thing was seeing the lads playing with smiles on their faces and genuinely enjoying their football. When the lads are enjoying themselves, playing with confidence and working for each other, it shows on the pitch — and yesterday was a perfect example of that. ❤️💙
🔧 Improvements
Even after winning 6–2, we know there are still things we need to improve.
The lads know what those areas are, and in truth, they’re things we’ve spoken about for a few weeks now. We’ll keep working at them on the training pitch because we know there’s still another level this team can reach.
Six goals at one end is fantastic — next time, hopefully we can add a clean sheet at the other! 🧱🧤
👏 Players Who Impressed
There are honestly too many to choose from.
Of course, McKenzie Fagan deservedly picked up Man of the Match after coming from the bench and making a huge impact. ⭐
But looking beyond Kenzie, you had the likes of Lewis Foster, Gary Rounding, Tom Caddick and Adam Parker all putting in excellent performances — and the list could easily go on.
Yesterday wasn’t about one player. It was a proper team performance. 👏🔴🔵
👀 Looking Ahead to Next Week
Oh, next week… this should be fun! 👀🔥
We know exactly how difficult the game is going to be. Redcar Newmarket are probably one of the favourites for the league, so we know the challenge that’s waiting for us.
But we’re not going there to make up the numbers.
We’re up around the top ourselves, and we’ll go there with exactly the same mentality we take into every game — believing we can win. 💪
It’s a massive game, it’s the type of game you want to be involved in and, for us, it’s a must-win.
We’ll enjoy yesterday’s result, then the attention turns straight to the next one. 🔥
TOGETHER WE ARE STRONGER ❤️💙
UP THE PARK! 🔴🔵
