Prissick vs Coxhoe

We started the game brilliantly, creating chances and looking dangerous, but somehow found ourselves 2-0 down inside the opening 18 minutes.

The lads responded immediately, and just two minutes after going 2-0 down, Jenson tried his luck from a long way out. His speculative effort caught the keeper off guard and sailed over him to give us a lifeline and make it 1-2 at half time.

We came out flying again in the second half and deservedly found the equaliser just seven minutes in. A fantastic corner from Isaac caused problems in the box, with Flynn in the right place at the right time to tap home and make it 2-2.

For the next 15 minutes, Prissick were on top and completely controlled the game. Isaac was delivering some brilliant corners into the box, and we looked increasingly likely to take the lead, but unfortunately we couldn't find the finish our pressure deserved.

Then came a difficult spell, with Coxhoe scoring two quick goals to swing the game back in their favour. We were forced to chase the game, and Coxhoe eventually added a fifth before the final whistle.

Full time: Prissick 2-5 Coxhoe

A frustrating result today, but plenty of positives to take from the performance. There were plenty of encouraging moments to build on.

⭐ Parents’ Man of the Match – Joseph GK

An outstanding performance between the sticks from Joseph. He pulled off some excellent saves and showed great composure throughout. A fantastic addition over the summer and already making a big impact. (Pic to follow)

⭐ Coaches’ Man of the Match – Jenson

A tireless performance from Jenson, who never stopped running and worked incredibly hard in midfield. His effort was rewarded with a well-deserved goal and he continued to give everything right until the final whistle.

⚽ Eaglescliffe vs PRISSICK ⚽

Prissick got off to a flying start, taking the lead within 10 minutes, with Leo scoring his first-ever goal to make it 0–1! 👏

Eaglescliffe responded with a quick breakaway to level the game at 1–1.

Shortly after, Flynn went on a brilliant run and whipped a fantastic ball into the back post, where Isaac rose highest to HEAD the ball into the net and restore our lead. 1–2! 💪

Just before half-time, some great play down the right-hand side created another opportunity, with T finishing well to make it 1–3 going into the break.

Around 15 minutes into the second half, Eaglescliffe pulled one back to make it 2–3, setting up a nervy finish.

But just a few minutes later, we restored our two-goal cushion with a delightful lob over the goalkeeper from T. 2–4! 🎯

From there, the boys went full steam ahead for the next 10–15 minutes.

Henley rounded off a fantastic run by calmly slotting the ball past the goalkeeper to make it 2–5. 🔥

Shortly after, Leo produced an absolute thunderbolt of a strike into the top corner to make it 2–6! 🚀

Eaglescliffe managed to score twice in the final six minutes to make things interesting. Final score 4-6 🙌

🏆 Parents’ MOTM – Leo

Leo was a constant threat throughout the game, always looking to run at the defence and cause problems. His direct running and attacking intent made him a real handful, and he deservedly picked up the Parents’ MOTM award. 👏⚽

🏆 Coaches’ MOTM – Toby

Toby was absolutely everywhere on the pitch today. His hard work and determination to win the ball back during every transition potentially made the difference

Pools Youth vs Prissick ⚽

First game back of the season and what a way to get started!

We made the trip to Pools with just two substitutes against a full squad of 20, having not played a competitive game since June. Despite that, the lads put in a fantastic shift from start to finish.

We got the first goal through Calum, who found himself just over the halfway line. What was probably intended as a cross turned into an absolute beauty as the ball bounced over the keeper and into the net! 🎯🔥

The game was evenly matched throughout, with both teams creating chances. Pools managed to find the equaliser before half-time, making it all square at the break.

The second half saw plenty of effort from both sides, but neither team could find that winning goal. It certainly wasn't for the lack of trying!

A great game for both teams and a brilliant test for our lads in their first game back. Every player worked incredibly hard and should be really proud of their effort and attitude.

Well done lads!
