U9 Whites – Speed Training

The boys have been getting some expert speed training from Christian Carson, the Soccer Speed Specialist.

They’ve thoroughly enjoyed the first few sessions and are already looking forward to more! 🙌

There’s been some great progress so far, with the boys working hard, developing their speed and movement, and putting their new skills into practice. 💪⚽

Keep up the fantastic work, boys! 🔥

Family & friends came together last night at Marton Football Club for the unveiling of David Gallagher's Memorial bench.

A much loved & respected part of our Club was David, a positive character who had time for everyone.

A massive thanks to another diamond, Gemma, who made yesterday happen, with the fundraising for David's Memorial bench & giving a heartfelt speech & poem about David.

Sometimes it's not about the football.

Good, decent people, just doing what's right & trying to help others any way they can.

Please read Gemma's poem about David, absolutely nailed it, from one true friend to another.💙

Thank you so much to everyone who came to place David’s bench at the place he loved to be 💙⚽️💙

A Great Coach, A True Friend

David was more than just a coach,
Standing proudly by the line
He gave his heart to football
His friendship and his time.

He taught us more than passing
More than how to win a game
He taught us pride and courage
And to give our best each day.

Through every match and training night
In sunshine, wind and rain
David stood there by our side
Through victory and pain

But football was just part of him
For those who knew him well
It was his friendship and his kindness
That made him so special

The final whistle has now blown
The touchline feels less bright
But memories of David
Will keep his spirit in our sight

For a great coach isn’t measured
By trophies, goals or titles
But by the lives he touched along the way
And those who speak his name.

And now there’ll be a special place
A bench that bears his name
A place to sit, remember him
And share those days again.

And when we need a moment
Some comfort, peace or time
We can sit there with our memories
And feel that he’s nearby.

So thank you, David, for the memories
For the laughter and the years
For being such a treasured friend
Through happiness and tears.

Though we can no longer see you
Standing proudly by our side,
You’ll always be part of our team
Forever our coach Forever our friend
Forever in our hearts.

Love you mate see you when I get there ⚽️💙

Congratulations to the Marton Football Club, September Manager of the Month award🏆, Callum Hickman whose U8 Yellows have had a superb start to the new season 👌🏆

The squad were a late addition to Marton FC, though under Callum's guidance, the team have played superbly well in all of their four opening games 👍

Well done Callum, thoroughly deserved in being awarded the trophy, a cracking young squad of players looks like having an enjoyable season under your leadership 👏👏👏
