Back home after a great walk
Accomponied by Dan , Holly and Tom
Thanks for joining me on a great start to which will follow to more .
Today we completed a Good 21.06km ( 13.09 miles )
Moved our legs to complete a pretty decent 31,361 steps 💪🏼👍
The weather stayed superb for us with as always some fantastic views .
And what better way to finish the walk than with a pint and a good Sunday lunch from the king’s head inn ..
hopefully see a couple more on the next walk .

One final video of swerve before the biggest renovation to date in our 13yr history . Starting Monday 5th October
Recently we were awarded £30k in funds to go towards having installed new ceilings and all new LED lighting .
After a mammoth effort from Club members and friends of the club we raised the extra 10% required to unlock the cash pot .
We are going to have a bit of disruption for 3 weeks so please bear with us but it’s going to be worth the wait .
The club is again going from strength to strength and this is a major step in upgrading our club to go along with our ambitions .
There is a great buzz around the club these days and I’m really proud that with major assistance from Helen Khan we have pulled it all into place from saving the club from demolition to now major improvements ..
we aim to give all our members the best possible facilities to train and be coached .

Onwards and upwards

Parents often ask me as a coach, when is the best time for their children to start playing table tennis and it’s never an easy question to answer. Table tennis is such a demanding sport when it goes to general coordination that some kids need time before they’re ready to actually hit the ball. And then there are some kids like Bella! When her grandad ,who’s a incredible roll model for all of his grandkids ,Steve Hammersley asked me if she, as a 6 year old, can join her brother and cousin who are both very promising talents in their own right at the session I was sceptical at first. Our first meeting together that scepticism into a genuine enthusiasm to be able to work with her! She’s very attentive, hard working and so passionate about the sport that I can’t imagine a better kid to coach! It’s been only few months it she progressed so much I’m shocked- great things happen when talent works hard!

For anyone wanting any information on the walk, I’m doing on Sunday ..

It starts off at pitchingthorpe visitor Centre , we will head through Gisborough woods , through Hutton village heading up to high cliff , have a break there , then head along Cleveland way towards roseberry topping , take a left through the gate heading over to captains cook monument ( rest break ) then head back to roseberry climb up to the top then back down with flat downward walk back to Carpark .

8.45am meet up at the pitchinthorpe visitor centre ( to get parked up )
Good pair of walking shoes , and jacket pending weather .
It’s got some good heart pumping inclines and it’ll work your legs , aprox 8/ 10 mile
The scenery is fantastic if the weather stays good .
Hopefully see one or two of you there , it’s not a race so it’ll be nice and steady pace 😊👍

One last push required to hit our target 86% completed .
New ceilings and LED LIGHTS incoming ,
The club is finally getting back on track .

Hi everyone
Was just thinking if any of our members would like a bit of a walk / hike before the end of September aprox 7/10 mile starting from pitchingThorpe car park then walking through Gisborough Forest up to Highcliffe across the Cleveland Way to the bottom of roseberry topping then travelling across to Captain Cook’s monument then back to Roseby topping climbing to the top then back down to the car park ?
