🏉 NEW TO RUGBY? COME AND GIVE IT A TRY! 💚🖤

Introducing Talbot Pups!!
Fun, energetic rugby sessions for boys and girls aged 4–6! 🏉

Our sessions focus entirely on:
🏃 Running & movement
🏉 Catching & ball skills
🤝 Playing together
⭐ Building confidence
😊 Most importantly… HAVING FUN!

With no tackling, scrums or heavy rules just plenty of games, laughter and learning in a safe, supportive environment.

Perfect for little ones discovering rugby, making friends and growing in confidence.

📣 Come along and give rugby a try!

Sessions start at 10.30 and last for 45 minutes. You will receive 2 sessions free trial, then memberships are available for this age grade with Shorts and T-shirt.

This age group will be a completely separate unit from Sunday 11th October. In the meantime you are more than welcome to come and join in every Sunday and meet the coaches and teams, as well as checking out our amazing family friendly club.

Join us on Sunday 18th October in the clubhouse after the games for a special fundraising event as coaches take on the ultimate shave! ✂️

We’d love for everyone to come along, get involved and show their support. Every donation, big or small, is hugely appreciated! 🙌

🎟️ We’re also looking for raffle prizes!

Hartlepool Rovers 49 Acklam 22

A chastening defeat for Acklam.

After a good win last week Acklam were brought back down to earth against a very good home team.

Rovers set off like a house on fire. A combination of their strong attacking play and Acklam's poor defence gave them 3 tries and a very commanding lead of 21 nil, with plenty of time left in the first half.

To Acklam supporters' relief, debutant George Armstrong (grandson of Acklam legend Phil Taylor) ended a good move to get over in the corner.

But Rovers were still on top. After they forced a penalty a quick tap and go gave them a deserved overwhelming 28-5 half team lead.

In the second half the onslaught continued, with 2 Rovers ' quickfire tries putting Acklam 42-5 behind and in danger of a humiliating defeat.

However, to their great credit, Acklam staged a very good fightback with a great try from Harvey Saul and two more from Marcus Sudron, to earn them a 4 try bonus point. Rovers got another try too and the final score was Hartlepool Rovers 49 Acklam 22. Congratulations to Rovers, I think they will have a successful season. I hope Acklam will too.
