Three new players made their Thunder debut on Saturday at Locobowl and we absolutely love to see it!!

Aidan stepped up after only 3 training sessions and Kyle straight in at the deep end having never trained with us properly before! Absolutely hats off to them for just getting stuck in and balling out and making a fantastic contribution on the day!

To top it off, Sam. After a handful of training sessions Sam went down in Thunder history as the first ever woman to have competitive reps in a Thunder jersey and we are absolutely delighted as a team to break down that barrier! Sam absolutely balled out with PBU's and tackles at vital moments!

Flag football is for everyone and if you fancy getting involved just drop us a message!

And like that, our season is done! Yesterday we went to the very first Locobowl with more new players taking to the field.

After losing the first 2 games against some great competition, we entered into the plate. After a fantastic win in the semi final with Calderdale Deloreans that turned into a shoot out we found ourselves in the plate final playing for silverware for the first time!

Unfortunately we came up just short in the final against Leeds Samurai in another great game but the progress we have made across the season to even get to that place!

So much potential for next season and the hard work of the off season starts here!

Tomorrow we head to Keighley to round off our competitive season for 2026. There no better way to end our rookie year than heading over to our friends at Calderdale Locomotives Flag Football as they host the very first Locobowl! With more players pulling on the jersey for the first time its going to be fantastic to get some more much needed development reps.

What an absolute ride its been so far and we can't wait to finish it off with this one!

RIP Bowl MVP votes are in!! The day of the rookies!! Not only absolute ballers but two of the nicest guys your likely to meet on the field!

OMVP- Graham put the camera down and stepped in at centre for the first time and balled out! His snaps were perfect all day and he made two fantastic diving catches at vital times to keep the ball moving. Along with his first TD to top off a fantastic debut!

DMVP- Steve also making his debut played both sides of the ball and had one of the highlight moments of the day with a blitz pick on his first ever down at blitz, needed to be seen to be believed how he plucked the ball out of the air like he had done it a thousand times before! A TD on offence showed how much versatility this guy has!

Today we played in our first ever one day tournament and it was fantastic to test ourselves against top competition. We had 5 players pulling on the Thunder jersey for the very first time and they did themselves proud, the future looks very bright as we continue to grow as a team and as players!
