Thinking about joining Hōm, but not sure what it’s actually like?

If you’ve been waiting until you feel ready…

This is probably your sign.

Message us “HŌM” and we’ll talk you through it.

Anything BUT Gym Wear.

We gave the Hōmies one simple instruction for our 1 Year Anniversary...

Don’t wear gym clothes.

And as always, they understood the assignment.

Over the last year we’ve seen people arrive at Hōm nervous, lacking confidence, convinced they weren’t “gym people”.

Fast forward 12 months and they’re turning up to socials, bringing friends, making plans outside of sessions, and becoming part of something much bigger than fitness.

Because whilst strength, fat loss and fitness matter...

The friendships, laughter, coffee and that feeling of belonging…

That’s what makes Hōm, Hōm.

A year ago we opened the doors hoping to create a place people genuinely looked forward to being part of.

Looking around this room, I’d say we’re doing alright.

Thank you to every single Hōmie who’s trusted us, supported us and helped build this community over the last year.

Here’s to Year 2 🏠❤️

Over the last year, I’ve had the privilege of coaching both of my brothers.

Which is weird in itself.

Because no matter how old you get… they’re still the people you grew up winding up in the kitchen, arguing with over nothing, and pretending you’d definitely beat in a fight.

But watching my eldest brother Joel change this past year has been genuinely special.

He recently became a Dad too.

Which means I became an uncle. Which still sounds ridiculous when I say it out loud.

Since joining us at Hōm, Joel’s lost over 20kg.

Or as he calls it:
“Dad maxing.”

He didn’t do this for aesthetics or for a six pack.

But because when you suddenly hold your kid for the first time… Your future stops being theoretical.

You start thinking differently.

About your health. Your energy. Your habits. Your longevity.

You realise you can’t keep running yourself into the ground and hoping it’ll sort itself out later.

So that’s what he did.

Reduced his food intake without doing anything stupid.

Started training consistently.

Moved more.

Built routines.

Stayed patient.

And now? He feels better than he has in years.

More energy, confidence and far more capable.

And honestly… The before and after says everything words probably can’t.

Look at that smile!

The best bit for me though is this:

Whilst we predominantly coach women at Hōm, seeing Joel go through this process has been another reminder that most people want the same thing underneath it all.

To feel good again.

Stronger. More capable.

Having energy for the people they love and finally recognising themselves in the mirror again.

Whilst building a future their future self will thank them for.

Without punishment and extremes.

Just support. Structure. Consistency. And people in your corner.

That’s The Hōm Effect.

Also, side note…

Big Frank is an absolute unit of a baby.

Like genuinely built like a medieval battering ram.

A small bald boulder.

So Joel’s probably going to need all the energy he can get.

There’s just something about having your own sign.

From PureGym → Hōm.

A name on the wall that actually means something.

For those who don’t know, Hōm means “home” in Japanese.

And over time, that’s exactly what this has become.

Not just a place to train. A place people feel part of.

Somewhere you can show up exactly as you are.

Good day, bad day, stressed, confident, anxious, strong, struggling… whatever.

No pretending, zero ego and not feeling like you have to “fit in” first.

Just people trying to become better together.

That’s the difference.

The workouts matter. The coaching matters.

But the environment changes people.

And honestly?

That’s all we ever wanted Hōm to be🏡

Real members.
Real results.

Most of our Hōmies didn’t start because they felt “ready”.

They started because they were tired of starting over.

Tired of guessing and tired of doing it alone. Tired of feeling uncomfortable in gyms that never felt like them.

And at some point… It stopped being about finding the perfect time.

It became about finally making a decision for themselves.

Now?

They’re stronger. More confident. More capable.

And no longer trying to rely on motivation to fix everything.

That’s The Hōm Effect.

You don’t need to be fit to start.
You just need somewhere you belong.

Two of our Hōmies showed exactly what this place is about this bank holiday🏡

Joined us just a few weeks ago.
Goal? Sub 31-minute 5K.

Result?
Sub 29.

That’s what happens when you step into the right environment and actually get coached.

Took on the half marathon with me…

Walked away with:
• 5K PB
• 10K PB
• Half Marathon PB

One race. Three personal bests.
That doesn’t come from luck💁‍♂️

And this is the bit most people miss…

This isn’t about fat loss.
Or step counts.
Or “being good” for a few weeks.

It’s about becoming someone who follows things through.

Someone who trains with intent.

Someone who backs themselves when it gets uncomfortable.

That’s The Hōm Effect.

You don’t just get fitter here. You raise your standard.

Proud is an understatement🥹
