Important update from Milton Keynes City Council about the heat expected this weekend.
Important update from MKCC:
With the current heatwave continuing, Anglian Water is adjusting water pressure across Milton Keynes to help maintain supply. This may mean lower-than-normal water pressure for some residents through this week and the weekend. If demand remains high, there could also be further pressure drops or short interruptions to supply, especially in higher areas.
At the same time, the wildfire risk is expected to rise to EXTREME on Saturday and Sunday, meaning any fire could spread quickly and be harder to control.
Please take extra care this weekend:
Use water wisely where possible
Keep bins and refuse secure
Avoid outdoor fires and barbecues
Remember water safety as well as fire safety

Join us next week for Shenley Church End Parish Council's Annual Parish Meeting!
Do you want to have a say in your local community or simply find out more about whatโs happening in the area?
We're inviting all residents to the Annual Parish Meeting at Medbourne Pavilion on Tuesday, 19 May 2026, from 18:00 to 19:30.
This is a fantastic opportunity to meet your representatives by chatting with local councillors and representatives from Thames Valley Police (TVP) and speak to UKIM MK about their plans in Grange Farm. You can also meet the local charities you nominated: Emilys Star, Harrys Rainbow, and Just The Way You Are.
We will also be celebrating local talent with a display of the winning entries from our recent photography competition.
Whether you have a specific question or just want to enjoy a coffee and see what we've done over the last 12 months, we look forward to seeing you there!
Please note that photography will be taken during the event
