Goju-Ryu Karate Milton Keynes

The "Crying Dragon" (Nakiryu) holds a special place in my heart. I have visited this shrine in Nikko with my brother, mother, father and friends who all visited me in Japan at separate times. So probably one of my most visited places in Japan.

So that’s why I decided this dragon for my karate club hoodies.

I watched this on a flight, I thought it was a brilliant film. Well worth a watch for martial arts fans and normal people alike.

IMO getting/achieving/earning a black belt is a significant accomplishment. It’s also a responsibility, to not only wear a black belt, but to “be” a black belt and perform as a black belt. Up and coming students will look up to you, mimic you and expect your guidance. A black belt should step up to the mark and take those challenges and grow themselves.

Excellent day Sunday at the the EGKA London Championship! Well done everyone that entered the competition. It takes courage to step onto the mat. You can all be proud of yourselves.

Great day at the EGKA gasshuku yesterday. I also took the opportunity to meet with friends and family in London for dinner in the evening. A very nice day indeed!
