One of our clients came to us about nine months ago. Did a six-week challenge, got back into training, felt better. Then decided he wanted to go it alone.
We see this more than you’d think. People get some momentum, feel capable again, and figure they’ve got enough to keep it going themselves. And sometimes that works. But often it doesn’t, not because they’re not capable, but because the thing that was actually working wasn’t the training programme. It was everything around it.
He called us last week. Hadn’t trained since January. Rough start to the year. Feeling like crap and knowing something needed to change.
The first thing he said was that he just needed to book on, show up, and work hard. That the rest of it being taken care of was the thing he couldn’t replicate on his own.
That’s it. That’s what this is. The training is almost the easy part. The coaching, the accountability, the environment, the people around you - that’s what makes the difference between showing up consistently and quietly letting it slide for six months.
He knew it. It just took a difficult few months to remind him.

You can have all the motivation in the world. But if the plan isn’t right, motivation runs out and nothing changes.
A clear plan means knowing exactly what you’re doing, when you’re doing it, and why it’s the right approach for you specifically. Not a template. Not what worked for someone else. A plan built around your life, your schedule, your starting point.
The right coaching means someone in your corner when it gets hard. Not just programming your sessions but helping you navigate the moments where life gets in the way.
Accountability that holds you to a higher standard than you’d hold yourself. Most people let themselves off the hook. Having someone who won’t let that happen changes everything.
A process you commit to and track. Not obsessively. But consistently. You can’t adjust what you’re not measuring.
Feedback that gets analysed and adjusted until it works. Because a plan that isn’t working isn’t a reason to quit, it’s information you can work with.
That’s what we build around every single person who walks through the door. 14 years in, it’s still the same five things.

Diana came to us as a teacher. Driven, hardworking, someone who loves feeling strong and fit. But she couldn’t piece it together. The habits, the lifestyle, the consistency, it just wasn’t clicking.
She’d tried the many approaches. It wasn’t working and couldn’t find something she could sustain.
We focused on adding. More protein. More nutrients. More variety. More structure. We built her training around 6am Monday, Wednesday, Friday and treated it like any other non-negotiable in her diary.
Over the following 12 months, everything changed.
She dropped 14 kilos. Got genuinely strong. Her energy shifted. Her mindset shifted. The way she made decisions shifted. And somewhere along the way she became one of the most important people in our community - showing up to events, supporting new members, building real friendships outside the gym.

We do personal training.
We’ve built an entire team around this and this alone.

Most fitness advice isn’t wrong.
It’s just not about you.
Context is everything - what works is what works for your life, your schedule, and the habits you can actually sustain.
That’s what a good coach figures out.
The clients who get results and keep them for years aren’t the ones who figured it all out.
They’re the ones who stopped trying to do it alone and trusted a process that was built for them.
You’ve never been the exception. You just never stayed long enough to get the result.
Follow the process and be patient.
Yes it’s hard,
But not as hard and being stuck where you are.

Most people don’t fail because they chose the wrong thing.
They fail because they never stayed long enough to find out if it was working.
We need data to fairly judge whether it’s working and what changes we can make moving forward.
