We have reopened.

Swimming suspended due to a thunderstorm.

Being at the Lido for dawn breaking on the summer solstice has become a popular annual event.

On Sunday 21 June, we will again open up early for Lido users to enjoy this special time.

The main session will be from 4:30am to 5:30am. It will be a splash rather than a swim to allow more to enjoy the occasion. There will be 40 to 50 admitted for this session. The opportunity to swim lengths is unlikely, certainly until later in the session.

After that session, there will be additional sessions for swimming at 5:30am and 6:30am.

The cost of these sessions is somewhat higher than those for our current adult lane sessions. Tickets are restricted to no more than 2 to each applicant.

We will offer free hot drinks and biscuits.

All proceeds from these sessions will be donated to Sue Ryder, a charity that we are keen to support and some Sue Ryder staff are expected to participating.

Inevitably, these sessions will prove very popular and tickets will sell quickly. We regret any disappointment occasioned to those who are unsuccessful in seeking tickets.

Always being keen to expand our branded merchandise, without exploiting our patrons (too much), we have sourced an exciting new product to sell – metal water bottles with the Lido branding. We expect these to be delivered to the Lido late next week. Purchasers will be delighted at the many uses of this product – holding drinking water is the only one that immediately springs to mind though. Purchasers will be able to choose their favourite colour as long as that is blue. The price of these bottles will be £14. All profits from the sale of these will be gifted to the Woburn Village School PTA.

Already here

We intend to stop selling bottled water- something we should have done before now. As some will have already seen (and maybe used) we have added a water dispenser in the lounge providing chilled water free of charge. Hopefully, this will complement our water bottles. A larger quantity of water containers will be delivered on Wednesday.

Additional adult and senior 10 swims for the price of 8 swim passes were added this afternoon for purchasing.
I hadn't expected the number allocated earlier, to sell so quickly.

PayPal has gone down. We are only able to take cash payments for drinks, ice creams etc. So sorry.

We had a good thunderstorm and lost the morning general session. Sorry all who were booked into that session.
