SILVER FOR SOPHIA! 🥈

What an unbelievable finish! Sophia just put on a absolute masterclass in the 200m Fly, clawing her way back from 8th place at the 50m mark to sn**ch a phenomenal SILVER MEDAL! 🥈💥

Not only is that Tynemouth’s 2nd medal of the week, but she did it in style with a massive 2-second PB of 2:27.41!

(Pretty sure there wasn’t a dry eye in the house... you've officially made your Mam cry, Sophia! 🥹😭)

Sophia looked total quality from start to finish in the 200m Butterfly, storming through her heat to qualify for tonight’s 15 year olds final!

Taking on arguably the most grueling event in swimming!

Gabe's finals tonight!

After qualifying in 9th, Gabe pushed from an outside lane to storm home to a 6th place finish! He smashed a brand-new lifetime best of 2:06.29—knocking another 1.5 seconds off his morning heat time! 💥

To top it off, that swim makes him the 2nd fastest 13-year-old in the field and number 2 in the UK! Huge congratulations, Gabe!

Day 4 at English Nationals

Results from this mornings racing, It saw both Gabe and Dan in action

Gabe finished 9th in the 200 freestyle to book his place in tonights final in a time of 2.07.96 (2sec pb vs entry time). His race will be at 5pm this evening!

Dan came 11th in the 100backstroke in a time of 1:01.83. and is first reserve for the final.

SHE DID IT! MEL IS A CHANNEL SWIMMER! 🏊‍♀️🇬🇧🇫🇷

From dawn until past dusk—12 hours and 36 minutes of pure determination!

Mel has officially conquered the English Channel, battling non-stop through massive tides, dodging jellyfish, taking visits from inquisitive seals, and navigating around giant cargo tankers in one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world.

From sunrise to beyond sunset, her grit and stamina were nothing short of extraordinary.

The evening finals didn't disappoint:

Dan went out hard in the 200m Fly, smashing his PB down to 2:11.29 and taking a fantastic 4th place finish! 💥

Gabe pushed the pace early in the 100m Free, dropping a sharp 58.00 in an insanely fast field to finish 9th in the 13/14 age group! 🔥

Huge effort from everyone today. Time to rest up for tomorrow! Where we see Mason and Gabe in action in the 1500 And Sophia in 50 fly.

Before we even head into tonight's finals, we've secured Tynemouths first medal of the English Nationals!

Charlotte put on an absolute masterclass in the 1500m Freestyle, taking the Gold with an incredible time of 18:06.24! 🏆🔥

Joining the tynemouth competitors tomorrow is Mason!

Good luck to Mason as he steps up to represent Tynemouth at the English National Summer Meet ! 🏊‍♂️⏱️

He’ll be taking to the blocks on Wednesday to take on the ultimate test of endurance—the 1500m. After all the grueling distance training, we can't wait to see him pace his race and chase down those big personal bests. 💪
