Tynemouth Swimming club provides teaching and coaching from a successful learn to swim programme all the way through to National level athletes.

Tynemouth Swimming club is the leading competitive swimming club within North Tyneside. We cater swimming lessons for swimmers 5+. All of our teachers and coaches are experienced and fully qualified. As a competitive club Tynemouth regularly produce county and regional champions with swimmers going onto National standard and onto university scholarships. We provide many life skills, as well as providing an enjoyable, hard working and positive team environment in which all athletes enjoy swimming and achieve success. SATURDAY NEWS! 🏊‍♂️💥

Tynemouth ASC has secured **SIX** swimmer selections for the Northumberland & Durham (N&D) Development Camp—the most of any club in the county!

This camp is the very first step on the elite pathway, with invitations earned exclusively by ranking in the **Top 20 Long Course 200m IM** times across the entire county. This achievement is a huge testament to Tynemouth's continued development and skill building across all squad levels.

Friday night announcements

Good luck to Dan, Adam, and Jai, who are away with Swim England this weekend for their Aquatic Diploma in Sporting Excellence (DiSE) camp! 🏊‍♂️

✨DiSE is a top-tier programme for high-performance athletes, blending elite training, sports psychology, and nutrition alongside their academic studies. Former DiSE athletes include champions like Adam Peaty and Rebecca Adlington—so they are in incredible company! Have a fantastic weekend, lads. Work hard, soak it all in, and make us proud! 💪

Gabe has been invited to compete in Sheffield and represent the n&d team. This is like Diddies on steroids with more than 900 swimmers competing. He got here by being the fastest n&d swimmers in the 13/14 age group (1 athlete per stroke of 100m) and then relays (medley and freestyle).
Streamed live on YouTube on 4th October.

Mason has been invited onto the national age group development program (NAGDP). This is the 3rd step on the national development pathway. You need a high national ranking to get on this program.

Dan & Gabe, Have been invited to the Beacon programme this year.

The Beacon Programme is an additional long-course development opportunity at Sunderland, bringing together swimmers who have achieved the required World Aquatics (WA) points.

Monday news update!

Congratulations to Coaches Paul and Rachel have been named to the n&d skills development team for this year's camp.

They will be lending their expertise to help bring on a range of juniors, we've yet to see the swimmers invite list but to be there you need to be in the top 20 - long course 200im swimmers in n&d for the birth year 2014.

This is the first step on the national development pathway.

A fantastic 2nd place after what seemed like 200 events and possible the closest result in the longest time!

walked away with some silverware today which is absolutely INCREDIBLE
🏆 Best 9 Year olds Trophy
🏆 Best 11 year olds Trophy
🏆 CANON Winner (the best race of the day)
🏆 The most wins (24 in total)

Shout out to Newcastle Swim Team for being the winners! Some spectacular racing done by all!

SILVER FOR SOPHIA! 🥈

What an unbelievable finish! Sophia just put on a absolute masterclass in the 200m Fly, clawing her way back from 8th place at the 50m mark to sn**ch a phenomenal SILVER MEDAL! 🥈💥

Not only is that Tynemouth’s 2nd medal of the week, but she did it in style with a massive 2-second PB of 2:27.41!

(Pretty sure there wasn’t a dry eye in the house... you've officially made your Mam cry, Sophia! 🥹😭)

Huge congratulations, Sophia! What a swim!

And on a final note: supported by the official medal carriers too of her two sisters!
