Fast fairways and super slick greens…

A look back on a summer game at Seascale Golf Club ⛳️ with Gareth Hill.

I personally love a links course when it’s playing like that, fast fairways, tight lies and slick greens ⛳️

It’s always a joy to play at Seascale and I’m looking forward to their first winter scramble series game this coming weekend.

Next up on our Cumbria travels was a trip up to Alston Moor Golf Club - the highest course in England ⛳️

You know you’re in for a hidden gem treat when there’s an honesty box involved and then stunning views down the 1st hole!

It’s a tricky 10 hole course with multiple tee locations making it 18, although not all were set up on the day we played we cobbled it together. The different tee locations really do change the holes as well.

Tight tee shots and tricky greens to hit makes it a firm test but great fun to plot around. Work has started on the greens ahead of winter but none the less a fun game of golf!

Cracking day at the Jopsons Jewellers Golf Day at Carlisle Golf Club ⛳️

I dunno who booked the weather but top work 🌤️ A warm welcome by the head man himself awaited you at check-in, buy a few mulligans, grab a brew and then play some golf ⛳️

Great to see some familiar faces and catch up as well as meeting some top new people on the day - the banter was flowing! (As were the beers cheers Mr Jopson 🍻)

Thanks to Milly, Rory and Mark for the banter in our group - some fantastic golf being played as well!

A huge thank you to Stephen Jopson for putting on a fantastic event and well done for raising £1,500 for Cash for Kids well played everyone!

A walk on the wild side..

We had it all today at Brampton Golf Club ⛳️ moody skies, sunshine, gale force winds, rain, barely a breeze, more rain and repeat 😄

Great fun playing in the Greenstaffs competition, teams of 4, holes 1-6 = 2 scores to count, holes 7-12 = 3 scores to count and holes 13-18 all 4 scores to count! We started strong but the pressure and gale force winds on the latter holes cost us a few points.

The course was in great order with the greens rolling superb ⛳️ Thanks to Andrew, Cooky and Hammo for a great game.

A day in the Lakes (walking boots optional!)

Looking back to Sundays game at Keswick Golf Club playing in their MND fundraiser event ⛳️ which raised over £4,000 for the charity! Well done everyone!

What a fab day! Even after the recent heavy rain the course was playing superbly with the greens consistent and true ⛳️ an absolute treat with views for days!

Shout out to our GTLUK team members Paul, Cooky and “back nine Andy” we had a great game with plenty of banter and a few good shots thrown in. We seen some parts of the course we are pretty sure the Greenkeepers have never seen 🤣

Sunday driving at Keswick Golf Club 🏌🏻‍♂️

What a fab day at Keswick with the team playing in their MND Charity Fundraiser event. The course was playing superb and even though it was an overcast day the views were still stunning 🤩

Cracking drive up the 15th by Paul which led to a birdie ⛳️

Quality service from the team, George worked through fitting and specs, extensive testing then final specs sent to the build team… an hour or so later I was practising with my custom built new putter ⛳️
