who’d have thought 🤷🏼‍♀️⭐️ (also wayyyy more enjoyable this way too 🙈)

Finally upped my mileage to 60K! and FINALLY got sub 20 at my local parkrun! 😝⭐️

I really really used to struggle to run back to back 40K + weeks, i’d just get ni**le after ni**le after ni**le! and it was SO frustrating ❌

So here’s what helped:

1. doing a manageable amount of mileage for 4 weeks in a row
2. then increasing after 4 weeks (only if feeling good)
3. doing my easy runs super slowly
4. if you’re fatigued, take a rest day
5. if you’re meant to have a session but are feeling fatigued, move or skip your session
6. ADAPT! it doesn’t have to be perfect, the no.1 goal is staying injury free so i can stay consistent ⭐️
7. eat more around your runs - you’ll feel a million times better trust me 🥯

Hope this helps! and remember, there is absolutely no rush - PBs WILL happen if you stay consistent but they just take time 🙌🏻🌸

FINALLY 🙌🏻⭐️ and ran 3:42 for the last km whoop whoop

Felt super strong today, 1st female and 13th overall out of 420 runners which i think is my best position yet!

Splits were:

1km - 4:02
2km - 4:04
3km - 4:04
4km - 3:51
5km - 3:42

Hopefullyyy🤞🏻gonna have a few chances to go for sub 19 at the start of september at some speedier courses 🏃🏼‍♀️🚀

live laugh love running

+ I actually stopped following a training plan and started just listening to my body and training that way ⭐️

So if my legs felt good and i felt recovered, i would do my speed sessions and go to the gym but if i felt fatigued i’d either have a rest day or do an easy run 🤝🏼

And i still do this now! It works great for me, having a bank of sessions on my watch ready to go and i just pick one (trying to mix up some longer rep sessions and some shorter rep sessions) 🌸🌿

Hope this helps! I’m currently training for an 18 minute 5K 🙈 so follow along for the ride!

See you tomorrow, byeeee 💕

next day off = SEPTEMBER 2nd (hopefully🤞🏻

+ running 60K weeks + hockey training + gym + life 👍🏻💕

Also note to self - ALWAYS test out your race gear 🙈… i took a bum bag that i’ve never used and spend the whole of the 1st 2k trying to adjust it and make it not bounce around (mission accomplished eventually) 👊🏼👊🏼

But honestly enjoyed this race SO much and didn’t look at my watch once - had no idea of my pace, my time or even how many far we had been and it was lovely 💕

Gels were ✅ (thanks for never messing with my stomach even after 83g of carbs/hour)

and shoes were the mudtalon speed v2s which were literally perfecttt ⭐️

62K for this week and feeling fabb 🚀

See you tomorrow, byeee 🥯🍯

Shoutout to gels for not killing my stomach!

Honestly no idea why i thought to bring 6 gels for a half, i’d never usually do that but honestly i felt amazing the entire time i think that’s why ⭐️👊🏼

Fuel fuel fuel!! ⛽️

I just like to be extra prepared okayyy - The race is also only 10 mins from my house 🙈⭐️

Anyways got to go! Cya after, byeee 💕

⭐️ I’ve seen a few posts recently saying people shouldn’t post “what I eat in a day” videos because people compare themselves, and I completely understand that HOWEVER…

I’ve also had so many messages from people saying that seeing how much I eat and how I fuel my running has genuinely helped them feel less scared to eat more 💕🥯

This is just what I’d normally eat on a rest day. I never restrict just because I’m not running. Some rest days I actually eat more because I have more time to snack lol.

I genuinely eat what I want, when I want. I do have a rough meal guide that I try to follow just to make sure I’m eating enough, but it’s never fixed. I’ll swap foods, add extra snacks, or eat more if I’m hungry 😋

Everyone’s needs are different, so this isn’t about what anyone else should eat, it’s simply what works for me. But i always say the more food the better when it comes to running for performance ⭐️⭐️

Anyways, enjoy me basically carb loading for parkrun 🍝

See you tomorrow, byeee 💕
