Jive in Penrith

North Cumbria Freestyle next Sunday 4pm - 7pm

22/06/2026

Borderlands Jive's first joint social/freestyle with Eden Valley Jive is a month away

The format will be two 50s rock n roll tracks (usually fast) then two modern jive tracks (a steadier beat). That way there will be plenty to dance to for everyone, but also times to take a break.
There should be a great mix of dance lovers from Eden Valley Jive, Borderlands Jive and maybe some swing dancers. If it goes well then hopefully there will be more in the future.
So see you at Penrith Conservative Club on Sunday 19th July, 2pm - 5pm. Entrance fee £6 cash on the door.

Our freestyle on Saturday will now be at Stainton Village Hall, Kings Arm, Penrith CA11 0EP. Just 5 minutes from M6 roundabout (junction 40). It has a lovely sprung wooden dance floor but no bar. Bring your own drink (there is hot water but you'd need to bring your own tea/coffee). Plenty of on street parking. Same time: 2pm - 5pm.
Thank you to everyone who alerted us to the clash at The Conservative Club. Hope that those of you who were intending to come will still be able to make it.
