π A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR AMAZING YOUNG PEOPLE!
We are incredibly proud to celebrate some fantastic achievements at our Studios!
π Lois Stewart has achieved an incredible 200 hours of volunteering through the Saltire Awards, showing an outstanding commitment to supporting our childrenβs dance classes over the past few years.
π Isla Ewen has also received her Saltire Award for volunteering with the Pre-School class over the past twelve months.
Iβm sure the highlight of her year was seeing the little oneβs faces light up when Elsa walked into the room.βοΈ
π Cameron Love, Abigail Marshall and Caci Beckett have all successfully completed their SCQF Level 4 Qualification in Dance Leadership through the Leadership Skills Foundation.
These achievements are about so much more than certificates. They demonstrate the value of commitment, dedication, responsibility and giving your time to others.
Dance teaches young people far beyond the steps in a studio. Through volunteering, leadership and supporting younger dancers, they develop so many more attributes.
We are especially proud that our older dancers are becoming role models for the younger generation, giving back to the studio and helping others to enjoy the opportunities that dance has given them.
Well done Lois, Isla, Cameron and Caci! πβ€οΈ not forgetting Bertie and Millie.
Your hard work and commitment really do make a difference.
Never underestimate where dedication can take you. π

As our time in Aschaffenburg drew to a close, it was time to say our farewells, but not before one final celebration!
A fantastic BBQ was held in a beer garden, bringing all of our groups together for one last evening of fun, friendship, and laughter. The children threw themselves into every moment, dancing the conga, kicking up their heels with the can-can, and finishing our trip on the perfect high. β¨
Before it was time to head home, there was one final Julie Young Dance Studios tradition to uphold.
Our group photo! πΈ
No trip is complete without gathering everyone together for that special photo, and what better backdrop could we ask for than the stunning castle and beautiful church in the heart of Aschaffenburg?
It was a wonderful finale to celebrate the twinning between our two communities and to round off an unforgettable visit. Thank you, Aschaffenburg, for your incredible hospitality, kindness, and friendship. Until we meet again! π©πͺπ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώβ€οΈ

THEATERPLATZ - DAY 3
What a day! π©πͺπ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ
We began with a parade from Schloss Johannisburg Castle to Theaterplatz, winding our way through the beautiful streets of Aschaffenburg behind the massed pipes and drums.
Joining talented performers from both Scotland and Germany, we were honoured to perform alongside Melomania, the Spessart Highlanders, Perthshire Brass, Perth & District Pipe Band, the Mainfunken Dancers, and many other local groups.
It was so lovely to see everyone interacting with the other groups, with children and adults alike coming together through music, dance, and friendship.
Following speeches by Perth Provost Xander McDade and Aschaffenburg Mayor Markus Schlemmer, a special presentation took place. George Annan, conductor of Perthshire Brass, was presented with a Certificate of Honour by Mayor Schlemmer in recognition of his outstanding dedication and invaluable contribution to the long-standing twinning friendship between Perth and Aschaffenburg.
We are so proud of every single one of our dancers. Even through the intense heat in our Highland outfits, the dancers smiled and had the best time.
These are the moments that make every rehearsal, every mile travelled, and every adventure worthwhile. ππ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώπ©πͺ

Day Two π©πͺπ
Day two began with a concert at a local secondary school, where our three performance groups entertained High School students with a celebration of music and dance.
After the performance, we had the chance to explore the beautiful city of Aschaffenburg.
With its charming streets and historic buildings, there was plenty of time for sightseeing, photos and simply enjoying everything the city had to offer.
The day concluded with a performance at the Festival of Diversity, where we were proud to share a little piece of Scotland with an international audience.

Day 1 β Our Aschaffenburg Adventure Begins! π©πͺβοΈ
An early start to Edinburgh Airport, and before we knew it we were off to Frankfurt. Miraculously, everyone, including all the luggage, arrived in one piece! π
After a 50-minute coach journey we finally reached our destination.
There was just enough time to leave our bags at the hotel before we headed straight to SchΓΆnbusch Park where we met up with Perthshire Brass and the Perth & District Pipe Band in the beautiful beer garden in the heart of the park.
The Friends of Perth were waiting to welcome us with exactly what we needed after a day of travelling. Oven baked pizza, giant glasses of Coca-Cola for the dancers, and a well-earned beer (or two!) for the parents. ππ₯€πΊ
The evening soon turned into an impromptu concert, with everyone soaking up the atmosphere and having the time of their lives.
The children gave an amazing rendition of Caledonia, and it absolutely made their night when people in the crowd started taking out their phones and switching on the torches.
We couldnβt have asked for a better way to spend our first night in Aschaffenburg! π©πͺπΆ
