Over the last 4 days the team took on 2 strong opponents from the Edinburgh league. First up was Edinburgh City on Thursday. This was a very close affair with the match ending in a 2-2 draw. Unfortunately the game finished slightly early after the away side suffered a few injuries so we wish all players a speedy recovery. 🙏

The award for this game when to Cando and Owen. Firstly Cando who’s had a tough time of it lately with illness. Great performance by him dictating play, calm on the ball and causing havoc from set plays with his wand of a left foot. Next was Owen who’s been in superb form since joining the club. Always a danger on the left wing , working tirelessly in attack and defence and providing assists for our attacking players. Well done Cando and Owen 💪🏽😃🏆

Today’s match was against Leith Athletic in another entertaining game. Plenty of goals , attacking play and both keepers pulling off superb saves . Thoroughly enjoyable for the large crowd with City running out 7-4 winners.

Leo M and Dunny took the award today. Leo has just continued where he left off last season. Works his socks off every game, never gives defenders a minutes peace with his power and pace and scoring 2 great goals. Dunny playing central and left side of midfield, shows tremendous footwork changing direction with ease , always aggressive in the tackle and scoring a wonderful left footer swerving the ball into the top corner. Well done Leo and Dunny 💪🏽😃🏆

Today we welcomed Aberdeen Champions Banks O Dee to Huntingtower Park. The boys put on a fantastic display, great passing and intensity throughout and scoring some great team goals. They must also be congratulated for keeping their discipline after some severe provocation at times. Well done lads 💪🏽💙🤍

MAN OF THE MATCH

Today’s award went to both Cole and Gally. Cole with a commanding display in goals. Coming out claiming crosses, closing his angles well , calm with the ball at his feet and pulling off big saves at key moments. Next up was Gally with a great 2nd half display, tenacious in the tackle, brilliant assist for Struan’s hat-trick and topped off with a calm finish for his goal. Well done Cole and Gally 💪🏽🏆🏆
