Pre Season News 📝

It’s been a busy week for our boys with 3 pre season friendlies under their belt already and a fabulous new kit/sponsor ⚽️

🔹Last Tuesday saw us welcome Dundee West to Guildtown Park for our first friendly of the season. Unfortunately due to holidays and a number of injuries, we had no keeper (or back up keeper) who were both enjoying the sun, therefore our out field players took their shot in the sticks. It was a physical game against a strong opposition and the visitors walked away with the victory. All the very best to Dundee West for the new season 🤝

🔹Saturday brought our second home game of the pre season campaign where we welcomed Spartan Whites to Guildtown Park. After a quick photo shoot in the morning with our new sponsor and the boys in their new kits, they were raring to go. It was another physical game, with both teams finding the back of the net. Caleb Hutchison, Owen Matthew and Andy Rylance all grabbed a goal each however Spartans managed to score an extra goal and took the 4-3 victory. We wish you all the best in your league this season 🤝

🔹Last night we were on our travels to Craigie Park to face Dundee side DUSC. Having last met in Holland back in April where the score ended in a draw, both sides were eager for the victory. It was a cold and wet night, with playing conditions impacted however our boys gave everything. Passion, teamwork and fight shone throughout and we sealed the deal with a 2-0 victory. A superb free kick in the first half from Lewis Holden, met Willie Williamson in the box to make it 1-0. Special mention to our birthday boy Andy Rylance who scored a cracking goal to make it 2-0 - what a birthday gift 🎁🎈Good luck to DUSC for the new season 🤝

With two more friendlies still to play over the next week, the boys are back to training tomorrow night 💪🏼
