Really cold and windy conditions today at New Ferens which made for a bit of a chaotic game, with both teams working extremely hard to play their football.
Green Army produced a really resilient display, with non stop running and battling for absolutely everything!
Both sides were digging deep hoping to get that breakthrough, going toe to toe and both goalies making some great saves! Another clean sheet for Charlie 💪🏼🧤
The work rate was eventually rewarded with Easington coming away with the three points.
Fantastic result lads 💚⚽️

Roman with our only goal today which was enough to seal the win ⚽️

What a fantastic night our lads had last night playing up at Newcastle United Academy 💚🖤🤍⚽️

An amazing opportunity being invited up to play against their teams, it was really intense with non stop games and no rest but the lads absolutely smashed it!
They worked their socks off and never stopped, playing some outstanding football. They absolutely did themselves and Easington proud!

Great experiences and memories for these little lads and they couldn’t have represented themselves any better.

Thanks to Liam for helping us out and playing in goal for the red & white team, you did a brilliant job for us.

So proud of them all.

Easington Colliery AFC vs Hebburn Town Gold Barca

Back to winning ways today for our lads and a performance to be proud of. The last couple of weeks have been tough for the Green Army with results not going our way despite strong performances.
Today we were not messing about and got the job done, and all credit to our opponent. we always have a good battle with these lads played in the right way. Great team with the right attitude.

Couldn’t fault the effort, team work and determination across our full team today, they all put a shift in and were rewarded with a well deserved 3 points.

Away coaches MOTM went to Ollie, opening the scoring with a worldly free kick and a great contribution to the game, some crucial clearances off the line working well with Charlie to cover each other. Sponsored by Pat Lavery , Tyre & exhaust centre

Home MOTM week went to our super keeper Charlie who was outstanding in goal today, quick and confident and put a solid stop to some periods of high pressure. JTH Electrical Services

Every one of them were excellent today.

An exciting weekend ahead for our lads with our Saturday fixture tomorrow vs Hebburn Town Golds Barca ⚽️💚

Then on Monday the lads have been invited up to NUFC Academy to play against their academy teams.

This will be a fantastic experience for the boys and we can’t wait to watch them up there playing against the best in their age group.

⚽️💚Match Report⚽️💚

Not a bad game of footy overall this morning, another pretty even encounter which again ended with the result not going our way. Some positives to take, some great goals on display, some fantastic individual performances, and the boys were unlucky not to take anything from the game. Plenty to work on in training, heads up and on to next week!

⚽️💚Match Report⚽️💚

A bit of a scrappy game this morning against a very decent opposition. The lads weren’t at their best today although there was some good football played in spells.
Can’t fault their effort, they all ran their socks off and grafted non stop. Great attitudes shown by both teams and a game played in the right spirits, unfortunately a frustrating result for the Green Army.
Heads up and we go again next week!
