Whitwood 0-3 Last Bank

Another week, another game where we had to deal with plenty of dropouts and a scratched side but the lads once again showed great character to get the job done.
Whitwood came flying out of the blocks and put us under plenty of pressure in the opening 20 minutes. They arguably could have found themselves in front, but we weathered the storm and stayed in the game.
From there, the Bank settled down, grew into the game and started to take control, eventually coming away with a 3–0 victory and another clean sheet.
Special mention to Stu Gordon, who bagged two goals today on his return to his old team.
And of course, there was the trademark Stu Gordon celebration to go with them…🐛

Last Bank 8 - 1 Nostell MW

Definitely the best team we’ve fielded this year and it showed. 5-0 up at half time the lads run riot. Always the same in the second half lads got complacent and conceded a free-kick at the edge of the box which should’ve questionably been saved (nice Gilly). Nowt much to say about the last 10 minutes as the bank needed the game with 9 and a fan sent off🙃. Fair play to Nostell came and give it a good go with plenty missing themselves.

LAST BANK 3️⃣–2️⃣ WAKEFIELD ATHLETIC

What a day at De Lacy!

The Bank found themselves 2 goals down, but showed fantastic character and determination to fight their way back and claim all 3 points!

⚽️ Lucas Brown
⚽️ Connor Howley — on his debut!
⚽️ Lucas Brown

A massive performance from the lads to turn a 2–0 deficit into a 3–2 victory!

And what a way for Connor to announce himself with a goal on his debut!

Huge credit to everyone involved today, and a massive thank you to everyone who came down and backed the lads.

We’re back at home this Sunday as we welcome Wakefield Welfare for our second league game of the season!

We had two cracking games against Wakefield last season, with both being high-scoring affairs, so we’re expecting another entertaining one!

After a 3-3 draw in our opening game, the lads will be looking to go one better this Sunday and get those first 3 points on the board.

With a scratched out side for the first game the Bank come away with a point. It was all the home team for majority of the game and they could’ve been out of site in the first half! We went down early 1-0 and responded with 3 goals just before the half!

We came into the second half and defended for most parts and tried to catch them on the counter. A well finished 2nd and a last minute 3rd gave the home team a point.

Anyone before the game would’ve happily took a point away from home.

Sundays are back baby.

𝑾𝒆’𝒓𝒆 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈!

For weeks there’s been rumours that Last Bank were folding. Plenty of people would’ve been happy to see us walk away…

But we’re still here!

It’s a tough one away from home this weekend, with loads of lads unavailable, but the lads who are there will give everything and hopefully come away with a result.

Junk Old Boys 3-10 Last Bank

Nothing on the line so the lads went out and had some fun — boys playing in random positions and goals flying in everywhere!

Special mention to Jaden Gilbert making his first up top and absolutely stealing the show with a hat-trick!

Good laughs, good football, and another win for the Bank 💙
