💜 Garforth Rangers 4 - 4 Ponte Colls Purples 💜

Another slow and shaky start from the girls today, struggling to get a foothold in the game. Against a very strong Garforth side, we found ourselves 4-0 down at half time.

A change of formation at the break made a huge difference, and the girls came back out with a completely different energy. 💪 They worked incredibly hard and kept Garforth in their own half for large periods, and from there we started to take control of the game. 👏

Once in control, the girls started playing the football we all know they are capable of. Some great link-up play, movement and individual skill saw us score 4 unanswered goals and come away with what I believe was a really well-fought draw. 💜

We’ll continue to work on the communication, but let’s not forget just how far these girls have come, both individually and as a team, to get where they are today. 👏

A huge amount of credit to Garforth too, they fully deserve their place in Division 1. Playing with only 9 players, they were a really strong side and made us work for every bit of that comeback. 👏

Great comeback from the girls today after a very cagey start. From the 2nd quarter onwards the girls took control and played well and getting themselves a well earned draw against a very good Wetherby side.

Some great performances, Sav, Georgia, Princess, Kendal & Ruby to name a few. A screamer from Sav, our first ever headed goal from Lily-Mae and topped off with a great finish for Amelia getting her first Ponte goal 👏 🎯 ⚽️

Well done girls 👏 💜

Another great game against Wetherby none the less and plenty to take away and work on in training 💪
