Last night was the final committee meeting before the AGM. It was great to see what is planned for the coming season and to hear how well Inclusion is supported within the main club.
Our signing on day of the 23rd August includes matches and an introduction to inclusion football where we hope to attract more players.

Margam Football Club Inclusion Stags
Inclusion Awareness Challenge 2026

We done it. Battling extreme heat, elevations over 1900 metres, Jason Midwinter, John Heycock , Tomas Midwinter and Owen Midwinter completed the 2026 Lake District Ultra.

Our wonderful Owen Midwinter, completed the 100km race and we are so proud of what he achieved. This is a phenomenal distance over extremely challenging terrain. Not for the faint hearted.

The challenge involved 28 degrees heat, extreme elevations, glorious scenery but a challenge that tested us physically and mentally.

The course was brutal and relentless and personally at times, I felt drained, didn't want to talk and sometimes not able to interact with with our wonderful support team. It really tested your resolve.

A massive thank you to our support team, encouraging us along the way, I truly believe we would never of completed the challenge without them.

A massive thank you to Jayne Midwinter , Katie Heycock , Frank Berni and my favourite sister in laws, Carron Lane and Beverley Hobson . Who are actually my only sister in laws 🀣.

This challenge was truly,

Why we’re doing this

Margam Football Club Inclusion Stags is more than just a football team.

We provide children and young people with disabilities and additional needs the opportunity to enjoy football in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment. Many of these children would never get the chance to play in a team, train regularly, compete in a league or experience tournaments without clubs like ours.

For our players, football is so much more than a game.

It builds confidence, friendships and self-belief. It teaches resilience, teamwork and communication. It helps them experience the joy of winning, learn how to cope with disappointment, and most importantly, gives them the chance to simply be children enjoying the sport they love alongside their teammates.

The impact doesn’t stop with the players.

Our club also creates a support network for parents and families. Many tell us that they’ve found lifelong friendships, people who understand the challenges they face, and a community where they feel welcomed, supported and never judged.

How your donation helps

Every pound raised helps us continue to provide opportunities that many families simply wouldn’t otherwise have.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, makes a genuine difference.

For the past seven years, the support from our community has been nothing short of incredible. Because of your generosity, we’ve been able to change lives, create opportunities and give children a place where they truly belong.
