As such, students are entitled and encouraged to direct the Students’ Union by attending the democracy meetings as well as voting for Stude

😎Take a Break this exam season!😎

What is Take a Break I hear you ask? Well, we know the exam season can be stressful, so we're here to remind you to take care of yourself during this time.

From May 19th to June 13th, we have events lined up for you, designed to give you that helping hand during revision. Why not step away from the laptop and textbooks, and pet a goat for the morning? Or join us for some relaxing live music in Mojos during the day.

🐶We're kicking off Take a Break with a Pet and Paint session on Monday 19th May: 11am-1pm in Flex! Partnered up with BRIT Challenge, join us in the SU Boardroom at 12.20pm and 1pm for Yoga🧘‍♂️on Thursday 22nd May. And finally, a community litter pick on Thursday at 12pm. All happening next week!

🏳️‍🌈 On Friday 16th May for International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia - we will be raising the flag with the University of Reading. Join us at the flagpole at 12.15 to show solidarity with all members of our community.
🏃‍♀️Friday is Girls Knight Out! We'll be heading outside for tons of activities, such as netball and Ultimate Frisbee
🎪And finally, Saturday is the University of Reading's Community Festival. A free one day festival with live music, food, drink, and more.

Our Story

From the advice staff working in the Advice, Representation & Campaigns centre to the student staff working behind the bar and the Student Officers elected by you to speak up on your behalf, we are all here to help you make the most of your student experience.

Students at the University of Reading are automatically members of RUSU. As such, students are entitled and encouraged to direct the Students’ Union by attending the democracy meetings as well as voting for Student Officers who represent the student body on campus, locally and nationally.

RUSU provides over 100 student representation groups, societies, sports clubs and volunteer groups including a Student Media to help enrich students' experience. The Union also offers independent advice on anything from finance and housing to education through our Student Advice team.

As a charity (No. 1158523), all profits from commercial services such as our venue and retail outlets, goes back into the organisation to provide, improve and develop services to our student members.
