Runners… are you strength training? 🏃‍♀️🏋️‍♀️

Running obviously gets you better at running.

But that doesn’t mean your training has to ONLY involve running.

A well-designed strength programme can help develop the muscles involved in running, improve your ability to produce force and complement the work you’re already doing out on the roads or trails.

And your gym sessions don’t need to absolutely destroy your legs either 😂

It’s about choosing the right exercises, managing your training volume and fitting your strength work sensibly around your running.

You don’t need endless exercises or five gym sessions a week.

For many recreational runners, 2 well-structured full-body strength sessions each week can be a really practical place to start.

Your running is still your running.

Strength training is there to support it.

Run AND lift 💪🏃‍♀️

If you’re a runner who feels completely lost when you walk into the weights area, personal training can help you put some structure behind your gym sessions.

What actually happens at your PT consultation? 👀

If you’re thinking about starting personal training with me, this is where we begin.

Your 30-minute consultation gives us a chance to sit down and talk through:

🎯 What you’d like to achieve
🏋️ Your previous training experience
🩹 Any injuries, health conditions or limitations we need to consider
📅 Your current lifestyle and what realistically fits around it
💪 How personal training could help
📋 The different training options available to you

Depending on your goals, we can also take some starting weight and measurements — but this is completely optional.

Most importantly, the consultation gives us the chance to get to know each other.

You can ask questions, find out more about how I work and decide whether I’m the right PT for you.

And there’s absolutely no expectation that you need to arrive fit, strong or already knowing your way around a gym.

That’s what I’m here to help with.

Consultations are 30 minutes and cost £25.

5 reasons to strength train 💪

Strength training isn’t just about lifting the heaviest weight possible or trying to build huge muscles.

There are SO many reasons to get stronger.

Regular strength training can help you:

🏋️ Build and maintain muscle and strength
🦴 Support healthy bones
🏃 Improve performance in other activities
🛍️ Make everyday tasks feel easier
💪 Feel more capable and confident

And you don’t need to train five days a week to benefit from it.

For plenty of people, 2–3 well-structured strength sessions each week can be a much more realistic and sustainable approach than trying to live in the gym.

Whether you’re completely new to strength training, getting back into exercise or simply want a little more structure and guidance, you can start from where you are now.

If you’d love to start strength training but don’t know where to begin, that’s exactly where personal training can help.

📩 Drop me a message to chat about getting started.

So… who do I actually work with? 👀

The short answer? A pretty wide range of people!

Personal training isn’t only for people who are already confident in the gym or want to lift heavier weights.

I work with:

🏋️ People completely new to exercise who want some guidance and confidence getting started.

🔄 Those returning to exercise after some time away and looking for support rebuilding their fitness.

💪 People wanting to become stronger, fitter and more confident in everyday life.

👟 Runners and active individuals looking to add structured strength training alongside their existing activities.

👵 Older adults wanting to regain or maintain their strength, balance and fitness as they age, helping them stay active and independent.

❤️ Individuals living with long-term health conditions who may benefit from a more considered and appropriately adapted approach to exercise.

Alongside my Personal Training qualifications, I hold an MSc in Clinical Exercise Physiology, Level 3 Exercise Referral and Level 4 Physical Activity for Obese & Diabetic Clients.

This means my approach isn’t just about putting you through a hard workout. It’s about understanding you — your starting point, health, experience, goals and what you want to get from exercise.

Hi 👋 I’m Georgia!

For anyone new around here, I thought it was time for a little introduction — especially as life has definitely changed a bit lately!

I’m a Personal Trainer and Pilates Instructor based at Easy St. Personal Training & Physiotherapy in Norden, Rochdale.

My approach to training is pretty simple: exercise should work for YOU.

I take a “move it or lose it” approach to my own training — I run, I lift, and I stay consistent because I genuinely enjoy it and know how important it is for both physical and mental health.

You don’t have to be the strongest person in the gym. You don’t need to already be fit before getting a PT. And you definitely don’t need to spend every day training to make progress.

I love helping people become stronger, fitter and more confident in what their body can do — whether that’s through strength training, Pilates or a combination of both.

As a relatively new mum, I also really understand how your body, time and priorities can shift — and how important it is to find a way of training that fits around real life, not add pressure to it.

Outside of the gym, you’ll usually find me reading, out hiking, camping, or spending time with my family. I really believe in building a lifestyle that supports your training, not one that feels restrictive.

If you’ve been following for a while, say hello below 👋 And if you’re new — welcome!
