After 40 years of moving groups around the UK, we've learned festival jobs aren't really about the journey. They're about whether the coach actually fits the plan once you arrive.

Five quick checks before you book your festival transport:

✅ Site access width. Can a full-size coach physically enter, or is there a designated drop-off point further out? Worth asking the festival before you assume.

✅ Group size matched to vehicle. 17 or under suits a minibus. 18 to 37 fits a midi coach. 38 plus needs an executive coach. Get this wrong and someone's following in their own car.

✅ Luggage volume. Tents, sleeping bags, wellies, cool boxes, camping chairs. Festival kit takes up far more hold space than a normal weekend away.

✅ Return timing. Headliner runs over, traffic off-site is chaos. A flexible return window beats a fixed pickup time every time.

✅ Driver waiting or return pickup. For weekenders, is the driver staying with the coach or coming back on the Sunday? Both work, but the cost and logistics are very different.

Tick three or more of these and it's worth a quick call before you assume a standard coach will do the job. We've already worked the routes for most of the UK festival circuit.

Summer day out sorted, but which way is the coach pointing? 🌊🏙

Team Coast: deckchairs in Blackpool, fish and chips on the seafront, that first proper lungful of sea air as everyone piles off the coach.

Team City: a day wandering London, museums in the morning, rooftop views in the afternoon, everyone meeting back at the coach with sore feet and full camera rolls.

Both are brilliant June and July days out, and both are a whole lot easier when nobody in the group has to drive, park, or navigate. Just pick the destination and let us handle the rest.

A wedding party once got a quote £200 cheaper than ours. They took it.

On the day, the driver charged extra for the 3-hour wait between the ceremony and the reception. Nobody had mentioned waiting time at booking. The "saving" disappeared before the first dance. 🚌

Two coach quotes for the same job rarely cover the same things. One price builds in waiting time, parking, and a driver who stays on site. The other is a base transfer rate with extras billed on the day.

The gap between them usually isn't savings. It's items that were quietly left out, such as:

✅ Waiting time between pickup, event, and return
✅ Parking and congestion charges at the venue
✅ Driver accommodation and meals on multi-day jobs
✅ Return leg, late finishes, and overtime

A detailed quote that looks dearer upfront is often the one that actually costs less by the time the coach pulls back onto the drive. After 40 years of quoting group transport across the UK, we'd rather spell it all out at the start than surprise you on the day.
