JC Sporthorses

This weekend JC Sport horses divided forces.... whist J had the privilege of joining Simon & Abbie Crippen - Moles Farm CS Showjumpers at Arena Uk with 5yo Raiconen vh (owned by Sawston Riding School), C was winning the inter counties BD at bury farm with Clare Neale and Jon Goodrick's Don Draco.... individual and team 1st!

On (or obedient to) the aids = influence over way of going
Influence over way of going = influence over behaviour.
What ever stage of training your horse is at, they should be working as correctly as possible on the bit. (Check the FEI definition if you think that means with their noses on their chests. It doesnt). This encourages relaxation and comfort which in turn improves behaviour (most horses will do most things if you can get them to to relax). Your maintenance training should be about these basics, which in some cases means continuing education from the ground, if your horse is too weak or unbalanced to work correctly under saddle for the majority of the session.
You will also save a fortune in physios and saddlers fees.
