This is a great chance to lead, rebuild, and shape the future of our senior squad at Webb Ellis Road. We’re focused on growing playing numbers, developing talent, and creating a strong, inclusive team culture within our community.

We’re looking for someone who can:
• Lead and develop the senior squad
• Drive recruitment and grow player numbers
• Deliver structured, engaging training (Tues/Thurs)
• Build a positive, inclusive environment
• Work with club volunteers and leadership
• Support long-term sustainability of senior rugby

Matches are played Saturdays – commitment to training and matchdays is key.

Rugby Lionesses – Women’s Backs Coach Opportunity (2026/2027 Season)

Rugby Lionesses are looking for a driven and ambitious Backs Coach to help lead our Lionesses for the 2026/2027 season.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with the senior squad, shape attacking play, and make a real impact within a supportive and ambitious environment.

Role responsibilities include:
The Backs Coach will support the development of the senior women’s squad, with a focus on improving backline skills, attacking structure, and overall game understanding. The role will involve delivering high-quality training, supporting match preparation, and contributing to a positive and inclusive team culture.

The successful candidate will:
• Plan and deliver engaging backs-focused training sessions
• Develop attacking structures, set-piece moves, and backline skills
• Support game-day preparation, analysis, and in-match decision-making
• Work collaboratively with the Head Coach and wider coaching team
• Help create a positive, inclusive, and competitive team culture
• Support individual player development and feedback
• Contribute to recruitment and retention of players where possible

Training takes place on Thursdays, with matches played on Sundays. We are therefore seeking a commitment to regular training attendance and match day provision.

The Backs Coach will be a motivated and committed individual who enjoys working as part of a coaching team. They will report directly to the Director of Rugby while working closely with the Head Coach.

What We’re Looking For
• Passion for women’s rugby and player development
• Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for coaching
• Organised and reliable for weekly training and match days
• Ability to work collaboratively within a coaching team
• Commitment to creating a positive and inclusive environment
• Previous coaching experience preferred (qualifications desirable but not essential)

This role would suit an aspiring or experienced coach looking to develop within a supportive environment and make a genuine impact on the women’s game at the club.
