Rugby Trampolining Club produced a strong set of performances at the Kettering League Series 2 competition, with multiple finalists, a medal finish and several gymnasts competing in extremely large categories.
Russell Burns delivered an excellent competition in the TRI League 2 – 19+ Male category, qualifying in 3rd place before producing another strong performance in finals to secure an impressive bronze medal position.
In the highly competitive TRI League 3 – 15 Female category, which consisted of 49 competitors across four flights, Emily Middleton qualified in 6th place and maintained her position in finals to finish 6th overall.
Evelyn Clark narrowly missed out on the top 8 finals after qualifying in 9th place and ultimately finished 11th overall once the finals had been completed, which was still an excellent result in such a large and competitive field.
Beatrice Bishop experienced a stumble during her first routine but responded positively with a determined second routine performance to finish 45th overall. Evie Sawyer completed a very strong first routine before her second routine unfortunately came to an early end after her second move, resulting in a 44th place finish overall.
Summer Sutton competed superbly in the TRI League 3 – 17–18 Female category, qualifying in 4th place from a field of 35 competitors before finishing 7th overall in the final.
In the TRI League 3 – 19+ Female category, Ruby Byatt qualified for finals in 8th place and improved to finish 7th overall after finals. Leah Sheridan completed two composed and consistent routines to secure 33rd place in a very competitive senior field. Freya Bakewell was unfortunately just short of completing all 10 moves in her set routine but recovered well with a completed second routine to finish 39th overall.
Overall, the competition showcased strong resilience, determination and progress across the Rugby Trampolining Club team, with the club represented strongly throughout the day and all the coaches are so proud of everyone
