1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime.
Take a look around your friendship group, your sports team, or your family—that statistic means someone close to you could be affected. But here’s the good news: when caught early, prostate cancer is highly treatable.
Why Race For Men matters:
Race For Men was built to change those odds. Every step taken and every pound raised at our annual event at Hudson’s Field goes directly to the Stars Appeal Prostate Cancer and Urology Fund at Salisbury Hospital. Together, we’ve raised over £65,000 to fund cutting-edge medical equipment, speed up diagnoses, and provide crucial support for men fighting prostate cancer right here in our community.
How you can take action today:
Don't wait to make a difference. Sign up now for Race For Men 2027 on Sunday, 30 May 2027 at Hudson’s Field. Whether you walk, jog, or run the Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, or 3K Fun Run, you are directly helping save men's lives.

🙌🏻🏃🏻A run for all abilities and EVERYBODY
Race For Men is a multi-terrain race with a Half Marathon, 10k, 5k, and 3k fun run/walk.
Held at Hudson’s Field Salisbury to the North of the City: the route consists of 50% pavement/road section and then 50% off Road/Trails from Stonehenge – culminating in visiting historic Old Sarum Hill Fort and from the southern ancient ramparts, where there are fine views of the City of New Sarum, which in 2022 is 803 years after the new Cathedral moved from Old Sarum.

12,000 men in the UK will lose their lives to prostate cancer this year. That’s 1 man every 45 minutes.
Prostate cancer is now the most common cancer in men, but when caught early, it’s highly treatable. Knowing your risk and getting checked can save your life.
If you are over 50—or over 45 with a family history or if you're Black—talk to your GP about a PSA blood test. It takes minutes, but it could mean everything.
How Race For Men helps make a difference:
Through our annual event at Hudson’s Field, Race For Men brings our community together to turn awareness into direct action. Since starting, we’ve raised over £65,000 for Salisbury Hospital’s **Stars Appeal Prostate Cancer and Urology Fund**, funding vital local medical equipment, research, and support services to help local men detect and beat prostate cancer early.
Let’s stand together. Tag a father, brother, partner, or mate below who needs to read this today. 💙

Still buzzing! ❤️🚴🚴🏻♀️🚴
What a week. What a team.
Seeing Lisa , Rosie and Holly cross that finish line after 831km is something we will never forget.
Thank you to every single person who has donated, shared our posts, sent messages or simply cheered them on. Your support meant more than you’ll ever know.
The ride is over, but the reason they did it isn’t.
If you’ve been following their journey and haven’t had the chance to donate yet, there’s still time to support the Race For Men and the Stars Appeal Prostate Cancer Fund. Every donation, big or small, helps make a difference.
