12,000 men in the UK will lose their lives to prostate cancer this year. That’s 1 man every 45 minutes.

Prostate cancer is now the most common cancer in men, but when caught early, it’s highly treatable. Knowing your risk and getting checked can save your life.

If you are over 50—or over 45 with a family history or if you're Black—talk to your GP about a PSA blood test. It takes minutes, but it could mean everything.

How Race For Men helps make a difference:
Through our annual event at Hudson’s Field, Race For Men brings our community together to turn awareness into direct action. Since starting, we’ve raised over £65,000 for Salisbury Hospital’s **Stars Appeal Prostate Cancer and Urology Fund**, funding vital local medical equipment, research, and support services to help local men detect and beat prostate cancer early.

📣 BIG RACE FOR MEN ANNOUNCEMENT!! 💙

Today we met consultant urological surgeon James Brewin and the amazing team at Salisbury District Hospital to proudly present a cheque for £10,451.61 to the Stars Appeal - Salisbury District Hospital's Charity Prostate and Urology Fund, raised through this year’s Race For Men back in May! 🙌

That brings our Race For Men fundraising total since we started to an incredible £78,304!!

We’re so proud of this, and so grateful to everyone who’s helped us get here.

Age Requirements:
Half Marathon: All runners must be 17 or older on race day
10k: All runners must be 15 or older on race day
5k & 3k: Open to all ages - under 5's go free in the 3k Fun Run (Must be accompanied by a paying adult)

Let’s face it, gents: talking about anything below the belt can feel a bit awkward.

But there is nothing to be embarrassed about when it comes to keeping yourself healthy.In the UK, 1 in 6 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. The tricky part?

Early prostate cancer often doesn't show any symptoms at all.

You don't need to wait for a sign, and you certainly don't need to feel embarrassed about having a quick, simple chat with your GP. It’s a standard, everyday check for them, and it could quite literally save your life.

This is exactly why we run, walk, and stand together for Race For Men. We’re raising awareness, breaking the silence, and making sure no one faces this alone.

So, if you’ve been putting it off or feeling unsure: make that appointment. Do it for yourself, do it for your family, and do it for the lads. 💙
