Want to learn a new sport with an enormous future?

From the Olympics in 2028 to American college scholarships, Flag Football is one of the fastest growing sports globally and you can be a part of it!

We are putting on a taster session next Thursday, the 20th of August, at Hillsborough College!

It doesn’t matter if you’ve never played this sport, or any other sport before, your new teammates and coaches will be there to support you!

All you need to bring is yourself, some footwear suitable for astro turf (football boots, firm ground rugby boots or astro trainers) and a drink!

Unfortunately due to the amber weather warning both the women’s flag football taster session and mixed flag training that were scheduled to go ahead this evening have been cancelled for player welfare.

The next women’s taste session will be next Thursday, the 20th at Hillsborough College.

We interrupt playoff fever to celebrate the performances from Game Day 6, the final week of the regular season.

Both Steel and Iron wrapped up their seasons and these players shone as we crossed the finish line.

The playoffs are here for the Northern Premiership and the Steel are taking on the Salford Scorpions in the first round!

This season has been a culmination of hard work and effort from every member of the club, from all players and coaches, this success belongs everyone at the Giants.

Game Day 6 final scores for the Iron.

Only 1 win on a frustrating day but 1 win was enough to secure our place in the BAFA Northern Plate competition.

The Steel went to West Lancashire to avenge two earlier losses for this season and did just that.

We finish the season 8-4 and now set our sights on the BAFA Premiership North Playoffs!

Final Game Day of the BAFA regular season is in the books!

The Steel finish the year with our second consecutive 2-0 game day finishing 8-4 and going into the playoffs red hot!

The Iron close out the year with a 1-2 outing. We finish 6-10 on the year, once again beating last year’s mark for wins. We now wait to see how other results panned out to confirm our place in the Northern Division 1 Plate.

This concludes a fantastic turnaround from the fortunes of last season for both teams, although luck played no part. The results this season are a culmination of all the hard work put in by the club leaders, the coaches and the players.

There’s more football to be played before we turn our sights to 2027 with both teams gunning for silverware and perhaps even greater treasures!
