Both teams going 1-1 on the day, hugely positive performances across the board and plenty to build on going forward.

We now wait for July with only 2 regular season game days left for both sides.

The Sheffield Giants Women’s Flag Team is on the hunt for a passionate, knowledgeable, and dynamic Head Coach to join our coaching staff for the upcoming season!

Are you ready to help shape one of the UK’s top women’s flag football teams? This is your chance to take the lead, work with an incredible group of athletes, and be part of a growing, inclusive, and ambitious programme.

🔹 Role Overview:
As Head Coach, you’ll be responsible for:

Designing and implementing our playbook

Planning and leading weekly training sessions

Game-day play calling and adjustments

Working closely with the other staff

Developing players of all experience levels

🔹 What We’re Looking For:

Flag or tackle football coaching/playing experience

Strong understanding of strategy and play design

Confident communicator and motivator

Committed to creating an inclusive, fun, and competitive team environment

Available for weekly training (Sheffield-based) and regular game days

Finals for Week 3 in the BAFA Premiership North B.

The Steel go 1-1 in Wigan.

The immediate rematch once again goes the way of the Huntsmen, but the Steel remain at .500 with a win in a high scoring affair with the Serpents.

The Steel will go again on the 20th of June at home in Sheffield!

Game Day Team Pics for Week 3 😁

Steel go 1-1 in Wigan, once again narrowly losing to the undefeated Huntsmen and outlasting the Serpents in a shootout.

Iron go 0-3 in the first cross conference game day of the year. Unable to overcome a slow start against Huntsmen B, we then lost narrowly to the Jaguars before finishing the day with a shootout against the host Bears, ultimately falling short.

Both teams have a break now at the half way point in the season with the next game day coming in 3 weeks.
