Today we held the 5th SSGA Colour Smash and This Girl Can event at Don Valley Bowl Ice Sheffield and English Institute Of Sport.

We have been able to work with numerous partners today to put the event together and place an emphasis on togetherness, positivity and simply find the joy in movement.

With over 350 primary children, 200 Y9 girls and 75 college students with diverse needs all joining us today to make our time together a special occasion in the academic year.

Great morning at Leisure United Graves for the Y5/6 Lacrosse Festival in collaboration with Sheffield Steelers Lacrosse Club Est. 1983 who have planned and delivered a fantastic range of activities for children to have a taste of.

We saw a number of schools bring children with all different experiences of lacrosse. They were able to work together and test their skills.

What a fantastic morning we have had at Yard Ball. In collaboration with Points Learning Network, we welcomed schools from around the city to take part in a series of football challenges. Bagging the top bins and even learning what a phone box is!!

It has been special to see so many children from different footballing levels take part in this event together, working as a team and sharing smiles. Positive morning all round!

SSGA had the pleasure of supporting Andy at who hosted over 100 girls from Sheffield primary schools for the Girls Football Activators day at .

The girls accessed a workshop breaking barriers and challenges for girls playing football in schools. In addition, they picked up valuable leadership skills from the Post 16 female students who delivered fantastic activities for the girls to try out at school also.

Massive thank you to the students from Firvale and students who supported the event too 👏🏻❤️

We hope that all the girls had a positive experience and manage to implement their action plans in school to provide even more access to girls football for years to come.

We had the pleasure of capping off SATs week with the Y6 rounders festival in partnership with at .s8

SATs can be a stressful week for so many children so we wanted to bring everyone together for a picnic and some rounders activities to end the week on a high.

It was brilliant to see so many children getting involved with smiles on their faces, finding joy from taking part in activities with their friends and peers.

We had a huge amount of support from Y9 Sports Leaders, , Post 16 students and also from and sport students. Their support has been integral to the success of the day. We can’t thank you all enough for your efforts ❤️👏🏻

📣 Help needed! 📣

We are a not for profit school sport partnership working with over 50 schools in north Sheffield, getting more children, more active, more often, particularly those that need us the most.

We are trying to source some POM POMS (Cheerleader style) for an upcoming event and wondered if anyone could help us? Either to borrow (for one day, 17th June 2026) or share a recommended supplier. We require around 30 pairs.
