WTKA Great Britain

We'll be running our final 2026 WTKA Great Britain team selection on Sunday 14th June at Urban Combat Ipswich.

There are still a few spaces remaining (although spaces are limited).

Our Great Britain Coaches and WTKA GB Director Terry Johnston are looking forward to meeting you all and seeing what you're capable of!

Here's a reminder of the start times for selection:
🥋 10:30am: Traditional Forms/Kata (followed by fitness testing)
🥋 11:45am: Kumite (followed by fitness testing)
🥊 1:00pm: Points Fighting (followed by fitness testing)
🥊 2:15pm: Light Continuous (followed by fitness testing)

If you're taking part in more than one section, you can chose when you would like to complete the fitness test, eg. Athletes taking part in Kata and Kumite selection may chose to do their fitness test at the end of the Kata session OR at the end of the Kumite session.

Please remember to bring plenty of water, food and sparring kit (including gum shields and groin guards).

£20 per person payable on the day.

Squad Training and Selection for the East of England takes place at Urban Combat Ipswich on Sunday 14th June.

This is a scheduled day and athletes are welcome to attend as many of the sessions as they wish to qualify for multiple disciplines.

🇬🇧 WTKA GB Squad Training & Selection 2026 🇬🇧

All mat sports athletes wishing to attend the WTKA UNIFIED WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS and represent WTKA Great Britain in October 2026 are required to attend at least one of the sessions listed below in order to qualify.

If you did not attend the WTKA British Open in Chesterfield in January 2026, you are still welcome to attend the training session closest to you to try out for the team.
