Today our First XI welcome Wheaton Aston to The Morro Homes Avenue. With our Second XI travelling over to Oswestry. First XI start at 1230, with the Seconds getting underway at 13:00.

This weekends players of the match, were awarded to;

1️⃣ - Lewis Davies, having bowled well for the vast majority of the season. He was finally rewarded with some wickets. Collecting a 5 wicket haul, in his 11.1 overs. Setting the tempo well, with a fantastic opening spell of bowling 💪🏻
2️⃣ - James Harris, top scored with 27 took a catch, and picked up a wicket for himself along the way too. Currently leading the side due to the injury to the skipper. James continues to lead the way 💪🏻
3️⃣ - Jon Archer, more runs for the main man himself. Opening up, and scoring 63 built his side the perfect base to once again go on and score 200+. He even gave himself a bowl a took a wicket too! 🔥

The weekend round up! 🏏

1️⃣ - Our First XI showed some real character and grit, to grind out a Losing Draw at The Morro Homes Avenue against a strong St Georges XI. St Georges posting 257 in the first innings, we were then 203/9 off of our overs in return. Some excellent performances with bat, and ball. Plenty to carry into next week 💪🏻

2️⃣ - Our Second XI unfortunately fell short at Bishops Castle. Setting only 150 in the first innings, it proved to not be enough. As the opposition knocked them off 7 down in the 37th over. A top effort though, taking the game deep 👏🏻

3️⃣ - Our Third XI is a carbon copy of most weeks... bat first. Score loads, restrict the opposition. Setting 242 this week, they restricted Madeley to just 124 all out! Winning by 118 runs, maintaining that magnificent winning run.

A good weekend of cricket, with more to come again next weekend!

Thank you to all who played, and supported. Thank you also to those who came along and enjoyed The Ronaldo's, following the First XI game at The Morro Homes Avenue. It was a fantastic evening, and it was great to see so many people there enjoying our club❤️
