🏏 Congratulations to our Second XI Captain, Chris Hodson! 🎉

A huge congratulations to Chris, who this week was recognised by the Shropshire County Cricket League for an incredible achievement — 500+ League wickets! 👏

And what a record it is:

Overs: 3,488
Maidens: 851
Runs: 10,128
Wickets: 676
Economy: 2.90

Chris’s recorded statistics begin in 2000, but we suspect there were plenty of years before that adding to an already remarkable career! 😂

676 wickets and counting is some achievement and a testament to Chris’s consistency, dedication and longevity in the game.

Congratulations, Chris — a fantastic milestone and thoroughly deserved! 👏🏏

🏆 CHAMPIONS! 🏆

What a way to finish the season! 🎉

Our First XI have been crowned Division 2 Champions, securing the league title on the final day! What a season and what a finish — congratulations to all the players and everyone involved. 🏏👏

A huge well done to our Second XI, who battled hard throughout the season to finish a very respectable 5th place in Division 5. 💪

And a massive congratulations to our Third XI, who were crowned Sunday Division 4 Champions after an incredible season — winning every single game! 🤩🔥 An absolutely outstanding achievement!

As the season now comes to a close, we’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has played their part this year — our incredible supporters, volunteers, ground staff and, of course, all our players. Your time, effort and support throughout the season are hugely appreciated.

It's fair to say, 2026 has been a very special year for our club❤️

🏏 THE FINAL GAME OF THE SEASON… AND IT’S ALL TO PLAY FOR! 🏏

Well… here we are. The final game of the season. 😳

After a season of sunshine, and very little rain. We find ourselves TOP OF THE TABLE. 👀🏆

But there’s still one little matter to settle…

COULD WE BE CHAMPIONS?! 🤔🏆

It all comes down to today...

One final push, one final game, and hopefully one final reason to celebrate afterwards! 🍻

The weekend round up... 🗞️

1️⃣ - Another solid performance from our First XI. Which saw them win by 95 runs, at The Morro Homes Avenue against Lilleshall. Setting 163 to win, off a rain effected 40 overs. The visitors were then bowled out for only 67! Giving us maximum points going into the final week, with everything still to play for! 👀🏆

2️⃣ - A tough week for the Second XI, as they were beaten by 10 wickets.

3️⃣ - Our Third XI were crowned champions a couple of weeks ago, but still had a 100% win record that they wanted to maintain. They did exactly that! Setting 277 first innings. Then bowling Allscott out for only 60. Meaning they have won every single game of cricket this year... An absolutely stunning achievement. 🏆

A big weekend next weekend, with it being the final weekend of the cricket calendar. With the First XI eyeing up both promotion, and the league trophy. It's going to be an exciting final day away at Sentinel!
