⚽ Ercall Comets Continue to Grow! ⚽

Ercall Comets, our football provision for deaf and hard of hearing children, continues to go from strength to strength, with our biggest turnout yet at this weekend’s session!

We’re delighted to have secured the permissions needed to expand our offer and run sessions for both younger and older age groups. This has already allowed even more children to come along, get involved, make new friends, and enjoy football in a supportive and inclusive environment.

There are some exciting developments on the horizon too, including upcoming festival participation opportunities, which we’ll be announcing alongside our next block of session dates very soon.

🏆 A Fantastic Day of Football for Ercall Teams! 🏆

Ercall Revolution U8s took part in the Telford Town Tournament this weekend and produced a fantastic performance, finishing as runners-up and proudly bringing home their medals. A brilliant achievement for the players, who represented the club superbly throughout the day. 👏🥈

Meanwhile, Ercall Colts U9 rounded off their fantastic season in style by winning their Super Cup Play-Off Final against our friends at NC Blues. It was a brilliant game between two excellent teams, with the outcome eventually being decided by the dreaded penalty shootout. Congratulations to all of the players involved on a memorable victory! 🏆⚽

The tournament series has been a huge success, and special thanks must go to everyone involved in organising, supporting, volunteering, coaching, officiating, and participating. Together, an incredible £5,000+ has been raised for charity, making a real difference while providing so many young players with a fantastic footballing experience.

Well done to everyone involved and congratulations to both teams on their achievements! ⚽

The players have proudly received their brand-new kit ahead of the new season and are excited to get started representing Ercall Colts U9 Girls.

⚽️ Ercall Aces U9 Ready for the New Season! ⚽

The team have proudly welcomed their brand-new kits and jackets ahead of the upcoming season, and they look fantastic!

The players absolutely love their new gear and are already wearing it with pride. Support like this makes a real difference at grassroots level, helping to create a positive environment where young players can enjoy the game, develop their skills, and make lasting memories.

🏆 Coach James Nominated for Shropshire Coach of the Year. 🏆

We’re absolutely delighted to share that our very own James has been nominated for Shropshire Coach of the Year.

Anyone who knows James won’t be surprised by this. The man seems to live and breathe grassroots football and gives up an unbelievable amount of his time to help young people enjoy the game.

Seven days a week you’ll find him on a football pitch somewhere, whether that’s coaching the U9 Colts, U12 Colts, U9 MJPL, U12 MJPL, running Wildcats sessions, helping organise events, supporting other coaches or working on new opportunities for children across the county.

The success on the pitch this season speaks for itself.

The U12 Colts finished runners-up while playing an age group up in the U13 league, despite every single player being younger than the teams they were competing against. An incredible achievement.

The U12 MJPL side also had a season to remember, lifting the Grassroots Cup Champions League trophy in Wolverhampton after beating some fantastic teams along the way.

The U9 Colts enjoyed a trophy-winning campaign too, bringing home the Telford Junior League Shield Cup and performing brilliantly throughout the Charity Summer Series.

Meanwhile, the U9 MJPL squad have had a fantastic first season in a very competitive league. The team reached the final of the Grassroots Cup and finished as runners-up, a brilliant achievement at this level, while continuing to develop and compete against strong opposition throughout the season.

But if you ask James, the trophies probably aren’t what he’ll be most proud of.

Over the last year he has worked alongside Shropshire FA, the Shropshire Deaf Children’s Society and Telford & Wrekin Inclusion Services to help establish the county’s first football provision specifically for deaf children and young people with hearing loss.

That work is already creating opportunities for children who may never have had them before, and there are exciting plans to develop pan-disability teams next season.

As if all that wasn’t enough, James has also played a huge role in bringing ten football pitches back into use across Telford over the last two years, benefiting thousands of grassroots players from clubs all over the area.

The thing that makes James special isn’t the trophies, the leagues or the awards though. It’s the fact that he genuinely cares. He cares about the kids, the families, the volunteers, the clubs and the game itself.

This nomination is thoroughly deserved and everyone at Ercall Colts is incredibly proud to see him recognised.

Good luck, James. Whatever happens, you’ve already made a massive difference to so many young people across Shropshire and beyond.

Ercall Colts FC are delighted to announce a brand new women’s team for the coming season.

This means that our female offering extends from Wildcats with girls just starting out right through to this ladies team meaning you can start as a young girl through to the adult team with this amazing club. In addition, we have two new girls teams starting in the coming season with a new U7 team and a new, second U9 team 😊

Not only the exciting news of this new ladies team, but they’ll also be playing matches from a great facility. This isn’t one to miss out on.
