In the first hour…

Head Coach Hannah put out youth squad through their paces with a swim set full of sprints 🏊‍♂️

Coach Georgia worked with Mini and Development on their polo strokes and continued to work on eggbeater technique. Ending the session with swimming with weighted balls, the players definitely went home tired this evening! 🤽‍♂️

In the second hour…

Head Coach Hannah worked on shooting body position and shooting after receiving a pass from different areas of the pool!

Josh did a great job in goal making some fantastic saves throughout 🙌

Tuesday night youth training 🙌

After an hour of swimming, Coach Dave started the polo session with eggbeater leg sets, jumps, and shooting!

A smaller group tonight so plenty of time to work on harnessing those key shooting, passing, and dribbling skills 🤽🤽‍♂️

There's now a free Water polo club Table Officials course that you can complete in your own time online (or maybe over Easter with a cuppa and hot cross bun 🐣)

The resource covers:
✅Water polo officials
✅Table officials
✅The Water Polo pitch

It has been created to build confidence in those with a basic knowledge of the sport, pitch set up and roles of officials in water polo.

If we ever need parents to cover time keeping or table roles for friendly matches this will give you a good head start!

It'll also help you to enjoy watching your child compete as you'll have better understanding of the rules, whistles, and pitch layout!

Free table officials resource aims to recruit new water polo volunteers A new free resource which is aimed at anyone with an interest in water polo and officiating has been launched by Swim England.

Solihull 14 – 7 Boldmere

A dominant, defence-driven performance sees the Solihull men crowned Warwickshire Cup winners! Controlling the game from the start, the team forced errors, created chances, and delivered when it mattered most.

Over the weekend our development squad competed in a mini tournament against players from City of Coventry Water Polo 👏

To give the players as much pool time as possible, we mixed the teams into yellow hats, black hats, and white hats and played six 8-min quarters 🤽‍♂️🤽

💛 Yellow hats scored 13 goals
🖤 Black hats scored 10 goals
🤍 White hats scored 7 goals

If your child is interested in trying water polo we have sessions every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday in Solihull. In Coventry, we have training sessions Thursdays and Sundays.

✨ Water polo Christmas dinner 2025 ✨

Here’s a few snaps from our Christmas social organised by Head Coach Hannah. It was a great evening full of celebration and recognition.

🧡Congratulations to all those who won awards at the dinner and have achieved international honours this year. Here’s to a year of many more in 2026!

We raised over £460 at the raffle that will go back into the club to help us cover costs for the rest of the season and get some new equipment!
