🚨 LAST CALL 🚨
Good afternoon all. Whilst being radio silent over - what seemed to be - the longest January ever. We have been extremely busy organising our 2026.
I'm please to announce that we are hosting a walking rugby referee course again this spring and joining us will be Baz and Elaine from Kingswood Rugby Club . After being a huge success previously, we have had a lot more interest again this year. Details below. Please get in touch with [email protected] if you are interested.

A very big thank you to Erdington Rugby Club for joining us last night for a game or 4..
As always, great rugby played and a good start to the year Winning 3/4 and drawing 1. Civil’s put on a good show in the wet with great defensive play and great finishing ability. Onto the return fixture at Erdington’s ground in 2 weeks.

Good evening.
We would like to thank everyone who - despite the weather and cancelled games - attended our second and final VP day for 2025.
First we should congratulate our award winners:
Clubman/woman of the year - Jackie Barwood, who has continued to support our club with fundraising. Raising just shy of £1000 over the 2025 period. Organising social events bringing the club together.
Players player - Bob Wilson, who is a credit to the club and has been for a VERY long time. I'm sure Bob wont mind us saying that he's done his share of decades here with us.
Player of the year - Byron Parsons, who has excelled since winning young player last year. Who is determined to support the club and progress his playing indefinitely.
Most improved player - Alex Darvall has shown us how a player that has never touched a rugby ball, can take to something and thrive.
Jim Mollison award - Dean Newman. Simply for being himself, continuously keeping the clubs moral sky high and generally making a fool of himself whilst playing some very good rugby.
May we also congratulate and thank the players, members, past players and all attendees because if we did not have your continued support and commitment throughout the last couple of years. We would not be where we are today.
Please keep pestering and pleading with your mates, family, colleagues and anyone you know.. Walking rugby isn't just a fun pass time. It gives people to opportunity to push themselves and remove boundaries that they thought they couldn't overcome.
Thank you again.

Good evening!
It’s with sadness that we will not be playing any rugby tomorrow due to the new swimming facilities that have overtaken our pitches.
However. VP day will go on. We will now be meeting at 14:45 to watch the internationals. We still have a large number of people attending so please come along. Food at 16:00 and awards after.
Your understanding is appreciated.
Thank you

Yesterday the club was saddened to hear the news that one of our ex-players had lost his battle with Cancer.
Nigel Rose was a gentle giant and a clubman from a young age. 8 years he has fought this dreadful disease and despite his strength to carry on. Unfortunately, it got the better of him.
We send our condolences and best wishes to his family and friends. The club will support anyone whom is affected without hesitation.

Our sessions are open for all to come down and have a go.
We have plenty of games lined up, tournaments and 3 tours next year!! 1 of them being across the channel and into Belgium..
Get excited because there’s plenty to come.
