Well done to our members Sensei Donna, Owyn, Zain and Aiya who completed the residential course with the KUGB Technical committee (Senseis B Higgins, J Brennan, F Brennan, G Harford) and guest instructor Sensei Caroline McGrath in Lancaster this week.

Congratulations to Toby & Arlo who were our Students of the Month for June 🏆 🏆

We are very lucky to have such dedicated, loyal Young Leaders who are not only always looking to improve themselves but put a lot of time and effort into developing our younger members.

So as a thank you we try to reward them each year with something, this year we had a great afternoon at the theatre watching Karate Kid - The Musical.

Yesterday we took our team to the Shotokan Cup, which is the KUGB’s National Individual Championships for Black and Brown Belts
As always we were proud of all of our members who competed with their usual grit and determination.

Few special mentions, firstly to Emma on winning the Senior Ladies Kumite title to go with her National Championship win earlier in the year.

Then to Thomas, Niall, Emma, Felipe, Aman and Louis who all medalled in both their Kata and Kumite events, showing their high level all round Karate abilities.

Thank you to Laura and Stuart for their help coaching and being there for all the competitors.
