What a fantastic way to finish the season! 🟢🔴

Atherley Bowls & Social Club are the Southampton & District Bowling Association Division 1 Champions! 🏆

After a tremendous late-season charge, winning our final three league matches, Atherley managed to overhaul Eastleigh Railway, who had led the league throughout the season.

It all came down to a huge final match at Atherley on Thursday 13th August, with Atherley facing Eastleigh Railway at home.

And what a performance from the team! 👏

🎯 ATHERLEY 6 – 0 EASTLEIGH RAILWAY

A convincing victory secured the points we needed and confirmed Atherley as Division 1 League Champions! 🏆🥇

It was brilliant to see so many members, friends and supporters come along to watch what was a great evening of bowls. Afterwards, everyone headed into the clubhouse to celebrate with the team and mark a fantastic achievement. 🍻🥂🎉

A huge congratulations to every player who has represented Atherley throughout the season. Winning a league is very much a team effort, and the determination shown over those final few matches was outstanding.

And a big THANK YOU to everyone who has supported the team from the sidelines throughout the season. ❤️💚

Atherley Bowling Club is hosting its next Open Day on Saturday 12th September, welcoming everyone to come along between 10am and 2pm and try indoor bowls.

With the Southampton & District Bowls Association Finals also being held at Atherley on the same day, it’s a brilliant chance to enjoy top‑level bowls while discovering the sport. Club members will be on hand throughout the day to offer guidance and provide a warm welcome to visitors.

All equipment is provided, all you need is to bring flat‑soled footwear if you’d like to have a go.

Whether you’re brand new to bowls or simply curious, come along to Atherley on Saturday 12th September.

Congratulations to the Railway Boys from Eastleigh Railway Bowling club, for winning this years Atherley Open Fours bowls tournament on Saturday 8th August.

They beat the team Lorraine’s boys from Atherley in a close game.

Thank you to everyone who participated in this years tournament, and a round of applause to the organisers who worked tirelessly throughout the day to keep the tournament flowing from the start to the end.
