🎉 There’s never been a better time to take up indoor bowls at Atherley Bowls & Social Club!

We’ve got friendly, fun sessions planned to help you learn, build confidence and meet new people — starting with something a little different this week! 🏏🎳

📅 Thursday 8 October • 12.30–2pm
Join us for Bowls Cricket! A fun twist on bowls, with teams scoring runs and taking wickets while practising their bowling skills. Our Introduction to Bowls sessions are also starting — speak to the coaching team if you’d like to get involved.

👏 Prefer to watch first? Come along and support Atherley, with some of the best players in Hampshire representing our club and plenty of great bowls to enjoy:

🔵 Wednesday 7 October • 2pm
Atherley Mixed v Victory — a home friendly.

🏆 Sunday 11 October • 10am
Atherley Men’s v Banister Park in the Top Club competition — two rinks at home and two away.

Watching is a great way to discover the game and see what you could work towards!

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Then bring your friends and family to our OPEN DAY!
📅 Saturday 24 October • 10am–2pm

Come and try indoor bowls, have a go at darts or pool, and join in the fun we’ve planned. Come together or come on your own — you’ll find a friendly welcome, equipment provided and people ready to help. Just bring flat-soled footwear!

Try something new this autumn — your first bowl could be the start of a brilliant new hobby! 💚

What a fantastic start to the Southampton & District Bowling Association Finals Weekend at Atherley!

👏 Huge congratulations to Colin James, Leigh Allen, Carl Longfellow, James Lawson & Josh Davis, who defeated Fleming Park 14–12 on Friday to become the 2026 Fours Champions! 🔴🟢

And there’s plenty more bowls to come this weekend, with more Atherley players looking for silverware!

🏆 ATHERLEY ARE DIVISION 1 CHAMPIONS! 🏆

What a fantastic way to finish the season! 🟢🔴

Atherley Bowls & Social Club are the Southampton & District Bowling Association Division 1 Champions! 🏆

After a tremendous late-season charge, winning our final three league matches, Atherley managed to overhaul Eastleigh Railway, who had led the league throughout the season.

It all came down to a huge final match at Atherley on Thursday 13th August, with Atherley facing Eastleigh Railway at home.

And what a performance from the team! 👏

🎯 ATHERLEY 6 – 0 EASTLEIGH RAILWAY

A convincing victory secured the points we needed and confirmed Atherley as Division 1 League Champions! 🏆🥇

It was brilliant to see so many members, friends and supporters come along to watch what was a great evening of bowls. Afterwards, everyone headed into the clubhouse to celebrate with the team and mark a fantastic achievement. 🍻🥂🎉

A huge congratulations to every player who has represented Atherley throughout the season. Winning a league is very much a team effort, and the determination shown over those final few matches was outstanding.

And a big THANK YOU to everyone who has supported the team from the sidelines throughout the season. ❤️💚
