Any blokes want to run the New Forest Stinger trail race tomorrow (10 miles), starting from Ocknell campsites 10am. Steve is injured and can't run it. It's too late to transfer entries so you have to pretend to be Steve. Message me if you are interested. Free ticket!

That was bloody runtastic πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒ We focused on speed and agility training with @kellybailey90 in the sunshine 🌞 Sprint effort for 10seconds recovery for 15seconds over 8 minutes. We then moved on to practice our pacing technique 30 seconds walk, 30 seconds at conversational (long distance) pace, 30 seconds 5km pace. We then finished with some timed agility drills to strengthening our ankles and practice using our core. Amazing effort all round and lots of fun πŸ‘Š

A challenging but rewarding session with @andyatown at run club tonight πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒ Working in pairs completing multiple interval sets at varying distances. Partner A completed an effort run followed by a recovery as partner B completed their run. Lots of encouragement from the team and great effort πŸ‘Š

Training in the heat means teaching our bodies to work hard with less oxygen available. Interval training with adequate recovery was the perfect solution πŸ‘Œ

We train in all weathers. But it is important to help our bodies stay healthy and safe in the heat.
πŸ‘Š Hydration! Drink plenty of fluids throughout the day so you are hydrated before starting to train. Remember to drink after training and replenish the fluids you lost.
As always we will be carrying water with us throughout the session.
πŸ‘Š Fuelling your body. You need to eat throughout the day to maintain energy levels. We know appetites can be reduced in the heat. Consider vegetables and fruit (strawberries and cucumber) as well as meals such as porridge (with the right summer ingredients), as options with a higher water content.
