OSSKA-Karate Southbourne Club

Monday is here folks and it’s another week closer to the grading !! 5 weeks till the big day…and every lesson counts ! If you wish to do further training in the dojo, there is also Thursday night training at our Cosham club. Let’s see who wants that next grade !!

Friday is here folks….and we’re ending the week with the announcement of OSSKA Southbourne Club are going on a little tour in August to South Wales and visit our Welsh dojo OSSKA Victoria Villiage Club which is taught by Sensei Stu Best.

There will be some team building during the away trip and also a visit to Tower Collier Zip World.
Everyone within OSSKA is welcome to come and join us and if you’re interested drop me a message for more details.

Well what can I say about tonight’s lesson other than truly emotional to the max !! Everyone gave it their all and at the end of the lesson….the white belts blew me away ! Read the poster 👀👀👀 !! Take a bow kiddos…WELL DONE.

Happy 9th Birthday to our quietest karate-ka in our club…Luca. Most kids would be out celebrating with family and friends on their birthday but Luca wanted to come training and gain extra practise and stay on track towards his grading. He didn’t want anyone in the club knowing it was his birthday tonight but now the class has finished we can all wish him a very happy birthday. Have a great weekend celebrating your last year in single digits. From all of us within OSSKA….HAPPY BIRTHDAY Luca 🥋🎂🎂🎂🎂

Happy Friday everyone, training is on tonight and the weather is a lot cooler then last weeks temperatures…still bring fluids with you to keep hydrated throughout the lesson tonight. Grading is only 6wks away and every lesson is vital to attend.

Good morning Everyone, Karate is back on tonight and it will be requiring 100% of attention and effort. Grading is almost knocking on the door, don’t miss these lessons leading up to the grading…they are vital esp at being this close to grading day.

Happy Bank Holiday Monday folks and what a scorcher of a day it is !! Due to the leisure centre being closed today there will be no training tonight. Training will resume at the dojo on Friday and please bring fluids with you to stay hydrated.

Even though it’s school half term this week…please do your best to make training on Friday.

Have a great week, stay hydrated and make sure you have plenty of sun protection when going out in the sun.
