This is Ryan Goodwin, from Clean to the core.
He tragically passed away recently whilst working.

Whilst cleaning a roof, a gust of wind blew high voltage electric cables towards him and he was electrocuted, tragically ending his life and changing his wife’s, and young children’s lives forever.

Some great members of our cleaning community have set up a go fund me to help support the family during this tragic time.

To all other exterior cleaners, please be extremely vigilant out there when working near electricity.
This is something that, as housing developments spread through the countryside, bringing our work area closer to these extremely dangerous electric lines, is unfortunately becoming more common.

Well worth the watch, half hour well spent.

Congratulations

This morning we learned about the tragic passing of Judo legend and the father of Brett Johns, Andrew Burt.

When Brett switched from Judo to MMA, Andrew was an ever present part of the team. Brett proudly represented Pontarddulais Judo Club along side his MMA gym. A larger than life character, Andrew was the loudest in the corner as Brett
ascended through the amateur and then professional MMA rankings.

Andrew was no stranger to competition himself, a team GB representative who was selected for the 1984 Olympics. Unfortunately his career was cut short after a succession of knee injures which eventually led to a leg amputation. But it never slowed him down and he continued to be heavily involved in judo.

The iconic picture below was a regular occurrence in the South Wales MMA scene, with Andrew lifting himself up from his wheelchair to congratulate Brett on another stellar victory.

We pass our sincere condolences to Brett and his family at this difficult time.

RIP Andrew Burt, a true Welsh martial arts legend.

Congratulations Brett Johns on an epic career, we wish you and your family the absolute best on your next exciting chapter. What a send off this evening at WOW FC, you have inspired so many in the sport and will continue do for years to come.
