Not our day today, Greens, but plenty to take from it.

The first half showed what we're capable of. We battled hard, moved the ball nicely and showed great character to fight back from two goals down, capped off by an absolute worldie from Tyler!

The second half was tougher. We were caught a little cold from the restart and conceded a well-taken solo goal, and after that we found it hard to settle and keep hold of the ball. That's all part of learning, and the effort from the boys never dropped once. We'll keep working on staying switched on and composed on the ball in training on Thursday.

Men of the match go to Jace, who was outstanding at the back all game and didn't let anyone past him, and Tom, who once again pulled off 3–4 brilliant saves to keep us in it.

Heads up, lads. Proud of the effort, and we go again! 💚

Another brilliant performance for the Blues Saturday morning.

From the start we played on the front foot and looked comfortable playing from the back. Defensively we were solid at the back and we took our chances well at the other end. We were undone by two long balls. Which cost us the win.

MOM - All back four were superb today and hardly missed a challenge. So a shout out to Alfie, Osh and Harry.
MOM though went to Ifan. Solid at right back. Made good decisions and was always looking to play forward. Well done mate.

A brilliant 5 goals for Teleri, who didn’t stop running from beginning to end. Her energy, effort and determination were incredible! 👏⚽️

A big well done to Tildie and Nel for their goals too. 🙌

Most importantly, the teamwork from all the girls was fantastic. Everyone played a part in every game and worked hard for each other and showed great spirit throughout the day. 💙

A special mention to Iyla, Flori & Gwennan who were outstanding in their defensive positions and worked so hard to help the team. Just the 3 goals conceded across all 4 matches. 🛡️👏

So proud of every single one of you! 🌟⚽️

Cwm 1-0 CKSV

A very good home win against the odds with a thin squad anyway and Mollie getting injured 2 mins into the second half the girls really had to dig deep against a team we always have tight games against. despite being the dominant team we couldnt break the deadlock in the first half. Then with Mollie injured some of the girls stepped up to play some different positions and our pressure finally paid off with nevo winning a free kick and iola scoring right in the corner out of the keepers reach. the girls really worked hard to secure the 3 points with a limited squad so we are really proud of their effort. 💙💙👏👏👏👏

POTM - Carys, first clean sheet of the season and made some good decisions and passes

West Wales Cup
Ynystawe Athletic 5
Cwm 3

Our first team exit the West Wales Cup in the first round.

We exit the cup but this week the boys did put a performance in against Ynystawe from the West Wales Premier League.

We started the game with mote energy than last week and got our rewards with Ross opening the scoring after 7 minutes when he chased the keeper down and blocked the clearance and luckily for us rolled into the empty net. To be fair Ynystawe started to put us under some pressure and got back level just 5 minutes late with a good finish from outside the box into the top corner. Cwm went back in from midway through the half with a well timed run into the box from Harvey who’s first effort was well saved by the keeper but the rebound fell back t oHarvey qwho made no mistake the second time, and just before half time Liam made it 3-1 with a tab in from a wide free kick.

Half Time 3-1 to Cwm.

Ynystawe came out for the second half with a lot more energy and put us under earl pressure which we defended well and then got back on the ball and created a couple of chances ourselves which we failed to take and would come back to hurt us later, then after 73 minutes Ynystawe pulled 1 back again a good turn and finish from their centre forward, and with just 4 minutes to go a long ball to their quick winger who got to the ball first cut inside and finished well to being the scores level, with the game looking if it was going to extra time we conceded in the 93rd minute and then again 2 minutes late when we were pushing for the equaliser.

A much better performance but wasn’t to be on the day.

The first teams next game is Saturday home to Glynneath with a 2pm kick off.

Our goal scorers were

Harvey Ranford ⚽

Neath league Open Trophy
Godregraig Reserves 1
Cwm Thirds 7

Another good performance from our third team sees them through to the next round of the Open Trophy
Our young side who failed to score last week made up from it yesterday with fantastic attacking football right from the start with an early goal from a direct free kick from Danny, this was followed by A great cross from Danny being tucked away well at the far post by Elliott, then on the half hour mark substitute Tiaan made it 3 -0 with his first touch of the game.

Second half and the young side just kept getting better with another great finish from Leon, the home side did pull one back with a nicely taken goal from just outside the box, but straight from kick off Cwm went up the other end and got their 5th of the day from Jac, and in the final 10 minutes Cwm scored 2 more with Mason scoring both.

Another good performance from our young side and they look forward to the next round of the Open Trophy
Third teams next game is Saturday away to Clydach FC 3rds 2pm kick off.
