Our first home league game of the season was against Bryncoch and it was the visitors who went away with a deserved 3 points.

We just seemed a little of the pace last night and the visitors always seemed to be a yard quicker than us, and took the lead just after the half hour mark and it stayed that way until they doubled their lead on the hour mark, but to be fair to Cwm they didn’t give in and kept working hard resulting in cutting the lead in half with 5 minutes to go and we just didn’t do enough to get anything out of the game.

Our next game is against Ynysygerwyn reserves on Saturday at home with a 2pm kick off.

The reserves first league game of the season ending in defeat at Resolven last night.

It was our first game in Division one after gaining promotion last year and you can say it took us a good 45 minutes to get used to the higher division we found ourselves 5-1 down at half time, Gee’s half time team talk must have worked because we came out in the second half and made a game of it with a Ioan hat trick pulling the game back to 5-4 with a couple of mins to go but we couldn’t finish the comeback and the final whistle blew, but we must take confidence from the second half performance and look forward to our young side develop over the season.

Our next game is against Giant Grave reserves away on Saturday with a 2pm kick off.

Cwm Girls u16s got a pre season run out this evening against Clydach. some important minutes under the belt to get closer to full match fitness and some good football as we adapt to a new style of playing 👏👏👏
