Swindon Wildcats 2 are delighted to welcome Dan Bradley and Tom Ashmore back for the 2026/27 season!

Two players who bring different strengths but the same commitment to the jersey.

Dan’s size, physicality and experience make him a key presence on the blue line, while Tom continues as an exciting young forward who brings energy, pace and a real work ethic every time he steps onto the ice.

Both players know exactly what it means to represent the Wildcats 2 badge, and we’re looking forward to seeing them continue their journey in red and white this season.

✍️ NEW SIGNING | ZAC SMITH | ACADEMY PROSPECT

Swindon Wildcats 2 are delighted to welcome Zac Smith into the senior set-up as the final piece of our netminder trio for the 2026/27 season.

A standout junior and academy prospect, Zac has been a true backbone for the U16A side this past season. His performances between the pipes didn’t go unnoticed, earning him a clean sweep of end-of-season honours: Best Defenceman, Coaches’ Player and Players’ Player.

His recent performances in Sweden with the U16A also turned heads, with a string of composed, confident displays that showcased his potential and maturity beyond his years.

Now stepping up into Wildcats 2 as a first-year U19, Zac will also continue a two-way development role with the junior programme, ensuring he keeps building experience across both environments.

With strong support from the senior group and a clear development pathway ahead, we’re excited to see his game continue to grow at senior level.

A netminder to watch for the future.

Swindon Wildcats 2 are delighted to welcome back Charlie Turner, Ben Mason and Sammy (Samual) Rai for the 2026/27 season.

Having grown up through the Swindon Ice Hockey Academy together, these three have spent years wearing the same colours, pushing each other to improve and creating countless memories along the way.

Now, they return for their third season with Wildcats 2 adds another chapter in a journey that began as academy teammates and continues in senior hockey.

They represent commitment, development and loyalty to the club. From junior hockey to the senior game, they’ve taken every step together.

Their stories continue and can’t wait to see what Season Three has in store.

Welcome back to Swindon… and welcome to Wildcats 2, Alexander Quant! 🐾

He’s not new to Swindon, but he is a new face in the Wildcats 2 dressing room.

Former Swindon Academy player Alexander Quant returns to the club for the 2026/27 season, bringing another local success story back into the fold. It’s always great to see former Academy players returning home and continuing their hockey journey in Wildcats colours.

Away from the rink, Alex is a dentist… which although handy in a sport where the players aren’t know for a full set of nashers, let’s hope those services aren’t required this season on the bench!

In all seriousness, we’re delighted to welcome Alex back to Swindon.

✍️ ACADEMY PRODUCTS | SENIOR PLAYERS

We’re delighted to welcome Josh Burnett and Luca Kirk-Browne back to Wildcats 2 for the 2026/27 season.

Both players have come right through the Swindon Ice Hockey Academy, progressing from junior hockey into the senior game, and now return as full senior players ready for another exciting season.

🏒 Josh Burnett has become a familiar face around the Academy, not only through his performances on the ice but through the time he gives back to our younger players. Whether he’s coaching, encouraging or simply making time for the next generation, Josh has become a real favourite around the rink and someone our young players look up to. His commitment to the club goes far beyond pulling on a jersey.

🏒 Luca Kirk-Browne continues his senior journey after already proving himself at both junior and senior level. A player who has consistently developed through our pathway, Luca returns with valuable experience and is ready to continue making his mark in Wildcats 2 colours.

Seeing Academy graduates continue their journey into senior hockey is exactly what makes us proud to see both Josh and Luca back for another season in their home town.

Two more Academy products continuing their journey into senior hockey with Wildcats 2 for the 2026/27 season.

🥅 Owen Crow returns after making his senior debut last season and will continue his development as part of our netminding group, providing excellent support behind Harry Thomas. Anyone who has watched our Academy over the years will know exactly what Owen is about – hardworking, committed, and someone who has stepped up to make countless big saves in U19 A and National League hockey. He’s a fantastic teammate, a brilliant character around the club, and we’re delighted to see him back for another season.

🏒 Oscar Forshee also returns to Wildcats 2, adding a third season of senior hockey to his growing experience while continuing to play in the U19 National League. Oscar continues to develop year on year, and balancing junior and senior hockey will only help him keep progressing as an Academy graduate.

Seeing our Academy players continue to earn senior opportunities is exactly what our pathway and ethos at Swindon is all about.

✍️ NEW SIGNING | HARRY THOMAS | NETMINDER

Welcome to the Wildcats , Harry! 🥅🐾

The Wildcats may have already revealed the signing, but now it’s our turn to give Harry Thomas the Wildcats 2 welcome he deserves.

We’re delighted to officially welcome Harry to Wildcats 2 on a two-way deal with the Swindon Wildcats. A talented young netminder with international experience for Great Britain at U18 level, and already 2 seasons of experience in NIHL and NIHL1 at just 17. Harry joins us ready for the next step in his hockey journey and will be our starting Netminder for the 2026/27 season, while also backing up Renny Marr with the Wildcats.

This is a fantastic opportunity for Harry to continue to gain valuable senior minutes, continue his development, and show exactly what he can do between the pipes. We’re excited to see him make the crease his own and can’t wait to watch him in action wearing the Wildcats 2 jersey.

These two know exactly what it means to wear the Wildcats jersey and bring a wealth of experience, leadership and composure to an exciting young Wildcats 2 roster.

As the next generation of Academy talent continues to make the step into senior hockey, having players like Ben and Ollie alongside them is invaluable. Their knowledge of the game, professionalism and willingness to lead by example will be a huge asset throughout the season.

We’re excited to see both players back on the ice as Wildcats 2 continue to build towards another competitive campaign.

🖊️ THE NEXT GENERATION RETURNS! 🐾

We’re delighted to welcome back Alfie Goddard and Ethan Taylor for the 2026/27 season! 👏

Both players continue to progress through the Swindon pathway and will once again combine U19 National League hockey with valuable experience in NIHL1 as part of the Wildcats 2 roster.

Playing senior hockey while still competing at junior level provides an outstanding opportunity to accelerate their development, testing themselves against older, more experienced opposition week in, week out.

Alfie and Ethan have both earned this opportunity through their hard work, commitment and performances, and we’re excited to watch them continue to grow throughout the season.

✍️Re-signing | Jan Kostal Jr & Oskar Sagan | TWO-WAY

It’s been no secret the boys are back with the WC2 this season but they still deserve their moment.

A huge congratulations to Jan Kostal Jr and Oskar Sagan, who will continue their development this season on two-way deals with NIHL1 Swindon Wildcats 2 and the NIHL National Bespoke Swindon Wildcats. What a fantastic achievement for two of our Academy graduates - who still will be playing for our Junior academy!

At just 17 and 18 years old, both players are already earning valuable experience in senior hockey, a testament to their commitment, work ethic and dedication to improving every day.

A special mention goes to Oskar, who has proudly represented Great Britain U18 on two occasions an outstanding honour and recognition of his talent on the national stage.

Jan and Oskar are fantastic examples of what can be achieved through hard work, patience and making the most of every opportunity.

They continue to inspire the next generation of SWIHA players, proving that the Academy pathway can lead all the way into senior hockey.
