Erin is a highly accomplished dancer en pointe and has a very clear understanding of what she looks for in a shoe. She tends to favour a squarer box shape with generous width across the metatarsals, alongside a softer shank that allows her to feel and articulate through her feet.
While we’ve gently guided her towards slightly stronger shanks over the years thanks to years of excellent training and strong technical foundations, Erin is able to lift herself out of her shoes rather than relying on the shank for support, using her own strength and placement to do the work.

Meg has been a customer of ours since her very first pair of pointe shoes. Now training at the prestigious Northern Ballet School, she has access to some incredible fitters up North, including our lovely friends
Posé recently fitted Meg in a pair of Merlet pointe shoes that she absolutely loves. As they feature a synthetic shank, she also wanted a more traditional shoe to work alongside them in training.
A huge fan of a softer shoe, Meg naturally gravitates towards flexibility and easy roll through. However, with her current training load, strength and the realities of pointe shoe longevity and budget, we explored slightly harder options that would better support her technique, durability and progression long term. The jury is still out on these ones.

A beautiful transformation on Anna.
Her previous shoes were restricting her ability to fully push over the platform, creating unnecessary strain through the ankles and making it difficult to achieve correct alignment.
In her new shoes she is beautifully centred over the platform and correctly aligned, creating a much more lifted, supported and elegant line en pointe.
