A superb 6149 yard golf course with stunning rural views and featuring water hazards on 10 of the 18 holes. The facilities are first-rate, with an 11 bay covered driving range, 9 hole par 3 course, short game practice area and putting green. A warm welcome is guaranteed by our PGA Professionals in the golf shop which is an approved Titleist custom fitting centre.

🌿 What a fantastic team effort on the 17th riverbank

In September, our Greenkeepers joined forces with BS Works Ltd to replace the old, rotting sleepers along the riverbank — a project that took just over a week to complete.

The team removed the old sleepers, dug a new trench, secured the replacements with 10 cubic metres of concrete, and finished the area with rocks to help it blend naturally into the surroundings.

It was a tough week’s work, but the results were well worth it. A huge well done to our Greenkeeping Team, and Barry and Louis from BS Works for doing such an incredible job! 👏

🏆 SOMERSET ROSEBOWL CHAMPIONS! 🏆

What an afternoon at Clevedon Golf Club! Oake Manor took on defending champions Vivary Park in the Somerset Rosebowl Final — giving away 42 shots across five matches — and produced a performance to remember.

Our five foursomes pairings:
Matt Durbin & Phil Coleman
Owen Irish & Robin Trott
Richard Barker & Gareth Nation
Chris Yeates & Jamie Tong
Dave Hill & Stuart Coleman

Wins from Owen & Robin and Chris & Jamie made it 2–2, leaving everything to the final match.
One down with four holes to play, Dave Hill & Stuart Coleman delivered an incredible finish, winning three holes in a row and closing out their match on the 17th to seal a fantastic 3–2 victory! 🎉

👏 Huge congratulations to the team and to everyone who represented Oake Manor in the earlier rounds — you all played your part.
It is only the second time Oake Manor has lifted the trophy, following our first triumph in 2010. 🏆

A special mention to captain Richard Barker, who did a superb job selecting the team and choosing the pairings. A thoroughly deserved win! ⛳

Oake Manor ladies held another ‘Ladies into Golf’ evening this week. This time the new ladies got to play on the course and even finished up with a competition on the 18th hole. It was really good fun.

Today we had the absolute pleasure of looking after Alison James for her Captains Away Day!

Alison is club captain at Chipping Sodbury Golf Club. The ladies arrived on a coach and enjoyed a Bacon Bap before heading out for 18 holes!

Then they enjoyed a two course meal in our conservatory, of course including our fabulous dessert trolley!

It was lovely having you with us for the day! We hope you all enjoyed it!

Yesterday the annual match between the Club Captains team v The Past
Captains took place in beautiful weather at Oake Manor.

There were 6 pairs matches played with each match being closely
contested and played in good spirits. Jon Ball's Captains team won 4.5 -
1.5 but the matches were much closer than the score line suggested.

It was great to welcome back some ex Captains who now play their golf in
different counties.

We look forward to this tradition carrying on for many years to come.

On Tuesday 1st September, following the Club Championship, the Ladies Section held the annual Eileen Scragg Salver Stableford competition. It was won, on countback, by a delighted Catherine Drysdale who scored 33 points. Jenny Musgrove was a very close second, also with 33 points. In third place was Angie Warnes with 31 points.

Here is Catherine collecting her salver from ladies Captain, Mary Beakes who announced the results at the end of the morning’s competition.
