What a morning of rugby at a surprisingly dry Tynybryn for our Under 8s!

Our neighbours from Gilfach and Porth were the visitors and there were plenty of smiles all round with everyone enjoying another rugby Sunday!

Well done to everyone involved including our Players of the Week! 🖤🧡

Under 11s visited Ynysowen RFC this morning in what was the first fixture between the two clubs.

Both teams showed a perfect mark of respect before kick-off for the Aberfan disaster ❤️

Slow start from us, but the squad showed lots of character to come back and play some really nice rugby in the second half.

Player of the Match awards go to Teddy for an outstanding performance in both attack and defence, and to Connor who slotted in superbly at scrum-half in a new position and did really well.

Well done to all involved 👏🏻

Our Under 10s welcomed Ferndale to Tyn-Y-Bryn and all we can say is WOW!!! What performance! Every single player on that field gave it everything and it was an incredible morning of rugby! One of the best games we’ve played so far this season and it was a pleasure to watch.

Our team Captain this week was Jack, he did a great job of leading the team. We scored some great tries and got lots of opportunities to tackle. The team were passing and driving the ball and recognising and using the space on the pitch, aswell as having a strong defence line, something we’ve been working on in training. They’re developing as a team and learning so much along the way!

Well done to Quinn, coming away with not only Coaches Player of the Match, but also Player of the match chosen by the opposition. What a game she had! She played some outstanding rugby, both awards were very well deserved!

Another well done to Jaxon. His exceptional performance earned him the Supporters Player of the Match. His confidence exploded on that field and there was no stopping him!

A very enjoyable morning of rugby all round, we’re looking forward to our next fixture! 💪🏻

As always thank you to our sponsor Oh! Nails. We are so grateful for the support for our team!

Our Under 11s welcomed Cefn Cribwr RFC to Tyn y Bryn this morning for a very competitive game in the sunshine ☀️

Great to see the squad start well and maintain that intensity across all three thirds. Fantastic energy in defence and real intent to play attacking rugby throughout 👌🏼🏉

Really pleasing effort from every player in black and amber today 👍🏻

Player of the Match awards today go to Harmony, Alfie and Kolbi - well done all 👏🏻
