A wonderful morning of cricket for the Belles' final league match of the season; we can’t believe it's gone so fast!

Highlights:

🏏 Helen - not only producing consistent strong bowling, but also our top run scorer of the day!
🏏 Anna - taking 2 incredible wickets with her accurate bowling
🏏 Camilla, Jazz, Anna and Helen - all smashing out 4s and getting plenty of runs in
🏏 Amy - some impressive batting shots and quick fielding
🏏 Lorraine - some amazing bowling, keeping the batters on their toes
🏏 Grace/Anna & Jazz/Faye - some great batting partnerships with top-notch communication
🏏 Elsa - making her Belles debut, stepping up when her mum got injured 😬

And finally,
🏏 Mabel and Julie for being great scorers and helping the game run smoothly
🏏 Ade for umpiring for us and ensuring a fair game

⭐️ Another big thank you to Head Coach Nick for his guidance and dedication this season, and to Becki (Team Manager) for coordinating our matches and admin 👏🏼

The Belles are now looking forward to Legends Day and a few weeks off, before planning starts for the Winter Indoor League!

What a fantastic game of cricket last night as Brixham CC took on Barton Cricket Club in a T20! 👏

The game showcased great technical ability from both teams, with some excellent batting, bowling and fielding on display throughout.

A competitive and enjoyable game from start to finish, played in exactly the spirit the game should be — with great cricket, brilliant teamwork and fantastic sportsmanship from both sides. 🙌

A huge well done to everyone who took part, and a big thank you to Barton CC for a great evening of cricket. 🤝🏏

Weekend Fixtures Sat 22nd August

Barton u17s faced Bovey Tracy u17s on a glorious evening at Barton.

Captain Dev won the toss and decided to bowl 1st with an outstanding innings with some very tight fielding bowling Bovey all out for 84
(Cox 6-4 Parkinson 21-2, Dev, Ben & Luke all taking a wicket and Olly behind the stumps taking a quick run out and almost taking a stumping with his quick hands).

Barton came into bat unfortunately losing a couple of quick wickets from Olivia's beautiful bowling but captain Dev (20) and Cox (33) came into bat settling in and anchoring in the innings causing a few problems for Bovey, and then the other lads backed them up with the bat securing the win for Barton 🏏

Captain Dev said at the end how well everyone played and did a individual part for the team win and was proud of everyone tonight 🏏

Barton Oaks traveled to Bridford Village CC on a sunny Sunday afternoon

What a enjoyable game it was on both sides some laughs had and friends made

Oak's batted 1st putting up a score of 167 (Smith hitting 48 & Aji 35) 🤛

Bridford came into bat just coming short 164 (Bradley 2, Darren, Smith, Abah, Ben & Aji all taking a wicket also)

Great game! Beautiful scenery and lovely bunch of people 🏏

Sinu was on fire !! Bowling a wicket and throwing in for a run out.
Jazz and Faye set the bar high as the first pair.
followed by Alice and Camilla who used their high balls against them making some really impressive shots.
Our gracious Grace walloping a 6!! Like it was easy 🤩
Everyone's batting was fabulous too but batting pair Helen and Mabel stole the show, Helen hooks and sweep's looked semi pro, can't forget her bowling wickets x2.
Everyone really played superb x great fun, great atmosphere

We asked for the best for the final game and we got it.

Beth and Jess S both took a wicket, with the latter taken by a super catch by Rosie A.

Evie H and Saff M bowling partnership limited the first 4 overs to 11/0!

Ruth J, Rosaleigh and Rosie - all hit their own pre match targets too.

For a team that didn’t exist in May, to 4 games and 2 tournaments in 3 months - we are so proud of their progress!
