Cornhill Squash Club

A good Racketball win tonight for our Cornhill Wanderers / Daventry lads, beating Market Harborough to get to the county play off finals. Our team was Alan T, Alan B, David R, Dylan and Ridgers. Chapeau chaps!

RACKETBALL RESULTS ARE IN …

Cornhill made up the entire Daventry team tonight and won well v Carlton. The Cornhill boys managed ably by David Millard were Lee, Alan T, David R, Jamie, Ridgers and David Mellor. Chapeau chaps!

Our annual fundraising quiz was again an amazing success. Thanks to everyone for making it happen including local business Wharf Distillery Tesco Whittlebury Park and Northampton Saints for their generous donations.

Although the league squash season may have finished for the Lindum teams, work continues behind the scenes as we plan improvements for the club.

Alongside this, we have been working closely with Synergy Sports to bring squash into schools. Synergy Sports staff have now been trained, and the equipment is in place to begin delivery. Initially, this will be offered through taster sessions in schools, followed by a structured programme through Ready, Set, Squash — a curriculum-aligned primary school programme that helps children build agility, confidence, and physical literacy while linking schools with local squash clubs.

This will create a natural pathway for juniors to progress into our regular junior sessions at the club.

These are exciting times for junior squash in the Lincoln area and local schools, and we hope to see pupils taking advantage of our free “Try It” sessions at the club.
