In 1919, the parishioners of Upton wished to create a memorial to those members of the parish who had died in the Great War.To fulfil this wish, a large house in the middle of the village, known as “The Elms”, was bought through public subscriptions and donations from local benefactors. On Saturday we had our Winter League Celebration hosted by captains Rob and Charlotte.
The night featured exquisite food cooked by a local Chef and his team, plenty of flowing drinks and bad dancing. 🍷 💃 🕺
To top it off, two of our members Nigel & Helen got engaged 💍 ❤️
This is certainly a night that will be etched into Upton Tennis Club Folklore. Here’s to the next one. 🥂🥂

OUR GRASS COURTS ARE OFFICIALLY OPEN!
Yesterday the President of our club Dr. Richard Pickin opened our grass courts ahead of the summer season.
We celebrated with an American Tournament and the Vice - Presidents joined us for tea.
Such a lovely tradition and a brilliant afternoon for all.
