48 Hours in Norway 🇳🇴
A very fleeting but wholesome visit to see my Mother who lives in Norway.
I chopped wood, and stacked it in the log pile (a girls gotta move!), made a load of those coconut, date, mango energy balls for her to freeze, and wrote my momma a new exercise programme to help her with her osteoporosis. All in all a great visit!

So excited to finally be launching this class !

If you’ve ever felt like your legs disappear in that third set, or just want be faster, this is exactly what we’re working on.

We’re trialling a brand new Padel Fitness class over the next few weeks — think quick feet, stronger legs, sharper reactions… and a seriously fun, high-energy session with great music.

It’s all about building that agility, control, and endurance so you can stay switched on for every single point 💥

Whether you’re new or already playing regularly — come give it a go. Trial class is just £10, and I’d LOVE to see some familiar faces there ❤️

Trying to become the sort of person who has healthy homemade snacks ready in the fridge… so I made these 😇

These Mango, Coconut & Vanilla Energy Balls (recipe by ) are dangerously good — soft, naturally sweet, and full of lovely chewy texture.

Made with just a few simple ingredients:
🥭 dried mango
🥥 desiccated coconut
🌾 oats
🌴 dates
✨ vanilla bean paste

Perfect for a little afternoon pick-me-up, post-walk snack, or with a cup of tea when you fancy something sweet.

Supposedly they keep 1 week in the fridge or 3 months in the freezer…

…but this is my first batch, so whether they last that long is currently untested. For scientific reasons I may need to keep checking. Frequently.

✨ Makes about 20

100g dried mango
100g desiccated coconut (+ extra for coating)
100g porridge oats
100g soft pitted dates
1 tbsp vanilla bean paste
1 tbsp water

Blitz everything in a food processor until it comes together, roll into balls with wet hands, then toss in extra coconut.

Easy. Delicious. Slightly addictive.

Jane was back to training with me just 6 weeks after surgery. We worked on improving her core stability and building muscle so that she could be pain free as soon as possible. Hip surgery still had to happen but she was “starting” from a fitter and stronger place. This meant she was able to retain much of her overall strength and return to training and movement much sooner.

Now our goal is to support Jane in restoring her to a full range of movement. Who knows what else is in store for Jane, but her body certainly isn’t holding her back!

In her own words, “ Before working with Esa I had convinced myself that I needed to be careful and lifting heavy probably wasn’t for me. I was frightened of making things worse and being in even more pain. I often had pain in lower back. Pains in my hips and side. I had a ‘I can’t do that’ attitude.

However forward nearly 6 months and I have a ‘I can certainly give that a go’ attitude. I’m still cautious. My lower back pain has gone completely. My hips are stronger, more flexible and pain free. I don’t get pains in my sides and I feel strong! … My posture strength and flexibility have all improved which makes day to day living so much easier!

I really wish older women knew that lifting heavy is amazing and everyone should give it go! It’s also really good fun!”

One of the best bits of this class is when people share what’s improved along the way. Stronger push ups, aligned side planks, deeper squats - everyone has seen progress in form and confidence.

One more class to go at Shakti Den this year. Let’s make it the best one yet! The studio will be transformed over Christmas into .studio.whitstable - first class back is scheduled for 22 Jan.
